Chapter 44

Harumi touched the doll, stroking and feeling everything on it. From the stitched head to the stitch toes. She thought they were good. She thought that he had forgiven her..But something told her it wasn't just what she did...She felt angry, left out, sad, bitter....All those emotions mixed up in one big bowel. She could hardly face him after their little fight. And it wasn't hard either. Lloyd hasn't come out since he slammed the door on her. He hadn't eaten nor did he sleep. How did she know this? Well, she would wake up to him screaming in the middle of the night, she had thought about going into his room and holding him.....Comfort him.....Care for him.....But she didn't.

 He wouldn't want it. He would push her away, blame her. And she really didn't want that. Besides, she was a mess herself. Not a mess like crying and all that. Because that would just make things even worse. And things didn't need to get any worse. She may have not been a mess on the outside, but the inside? She was doubting every choice she had ever made. Including the choice she made to come back to the living.

But this wasn't all her fault! In fact is it even her fault at all? Lloyd was being a jerk for no good reason! Did he bother to tell her why he was acting like that?! Noooooo! Why?"Because boys are stupid."Harumi muttered bitterly as she sat the doll down. She didn't have the heart to throw it away or the note or even the box. She picked up the note and read it once more. My and one only wish is for you to feel that happiness."Liar."She mumbled. Then a thought wandered into her mind.....Could it be that this whole time......He was playing her? What if this whole time he was the one who got away? Away with tricking her and her heart? Could it be....That he was using her for his own gain? 

She shook her head. She would have seen through him. She would have. He was just being a straight ass jerk."Hey Harumi."Skylor muttered. Her tone was just a tad bit cold, but filled with anger."Oh great. You hate me too."Harumi muttered as she rose from the couch."You were a jerk to Lloyd. Why wouldn't I be? And you are lucky I haven't told Nya. She'd have your head!"Skylor exclaimed."And I am debating whether I should have yours."Skylor whispered harshly."The only jerk is Lloyd! And what do you mean that I was the jerk?! I did nothing! Nothing!"Harumi yelled. Skylor laughed coldly.

"Really?! You called him a murder! And said you could never love someone like him!"Skylor exclaimed."No I didn't!"Harumi protested."You said that straight to my face! And by the way, your wish came true. Lloyd did hear! Remember that scream we heard? That was Lloyd! He heard it all! You know, I really thought you changed. I really thought you were a good person......But I guess I was wrong."Skylor yelled. Skylor then stormed off into her and Kai's room.

I called him a murder? No, that can't be right. I forgave him, didn't I? Or....Maybe not? I don't know....Ugh! Why can't I just have a break?! And now I messed up my relationship with Skylor. Wait.....No I didn't! I didn't say any of those things! I know I didn't! If that was true.......Then why was everything falling apart?!

Lloyd looked in the mirror. He couldn't believe it. He had let her get in his head. She made him think that she loved him. Ha. No way. Lies. All lies. He said he wouldn't fall for her again........He should have listened to his head, his guts......Anything else.....But instead, he stupidly chose to listen to his god damn heart. His stupid heart. His heart had gotten in this entire mess. He hated his heart, he hated Harumi, he hated Garmadon, but most of all.......He hated himself...For getting himself into this hole he can't seem to dig out. He closed his eyes as he heard his stomach begging for food. But he would get none. He couldn't face her.....Not yet. And it wasn't just that, even when the ninjas gave him food, he still wouldn't touch it. He then dropped down on the bed, burying his face from the cold cruel world.

He shifted his head and opened his eyes halfway. Just then, there was a small knock on his door."Go away."Lloyd groaned."Lloyd. You need to come out sometime. And I bet you haven't even touched your food."Kai said."Kai. I am fine."He said, getting annoyed."The least you can do is tell us what is up. You and Harumi won't tell us anything. Did you guys get into another fight?"Kai asked."Kai, can you please just go away?"Lloyd begged. He heard Kai take a deep breath. He could also tell he was trying not to kick down the door and demand for him to tell him what was going on."You can't run from us. Can't push us away either. So stop freaking shutting yourself out and pretending you are alone!"Kai yelled. He heard Kai sigh. Even though he could not see it, he could feel Kai's hand touching his door. Or maybe he didn't.....But it seemed like he did.
