(This is a bit late, but definitely necessary)
I do not stand with JKR. As a transman I find her stance on trans people abhorrent and dangerous. I also find her holocaust denial rhetoric just as, if not even more so, abhorrent, dangerous and disgusting. It is common knowledge that Hitler went after ANYONE that was not straight, cis, or white with blond hair and blue eyes. Despite the fact he himself was not blond and blue eyed. The Jewish people get the most notoriety due in part to the fact they had a more drawn-out torture. The Jewish people were caroled and then slowly thrown into camps. From what I could find, the LGBTQIA+ community were instantly thrown into camps if not killed on sight.
I have not read the books or watched the movies since 2020. I write fanfics of the HP universe to honor the actors and the fans that make the fandom a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community. With that said, Hagrid will have minimal appearances in this book. Also, I would like to believe that Alan Rickman would support trans people seeing as he is well known for being affiliated with a political party that is in support of all people having basic human rights, which includes trans people.
This story was born from the minds of a nonbinary person and a transman, so our stance on everything JKR has said and done against us, is definite. This story is a celebration of the characters we love, the community we've gained over the years, and our love for the characters and how the actors portrayed them. We acknowledge this community would not exist without JKR, however we also hold firm in our stance that "these books just spawned into existence." Tom Felton has said she had very little involvement in the movies, hence why I use the movies as a guideline for my fanfics, as well as online timelines of events. I do not own copies of the books, nor do I wish to buy them. Any history used in my fanfics will come from the games 'Hogwarts Legacy' and 'Hogwarts Mystery.' Seeing as JKR does not own the rights to Hogwarts Legacy and Hogwarts Mystery is free to play on the app store.
Other than the canonic timelines found online, any details used from the books will come from a fan retelling of the books. If you have TikTok I urge you to go check them out. On TikTok it's the Hogwarts Transfer Student series by Adrian, his at is Silvercrevan910. None of his actual plot lines are used, however, the series is an amazing watch and a great source of Trans and neurodivergent inclusion for the HP series. In the coming months, the minds behind this lovely fanfic will also have their own HP TikTok skits/ cosplays to sound bits. Our at is Nikki.and.Leo.
