Yn Murphy sat at her desk, her hand absentmindedly reaching up to rub her ear. It had been bothering her for the past few days, a dull ache that just wouldn't go away. She tried to push it to the back of her mind, focusing on her work as a nurse at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital, but the pain was becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.

As she finished up her shift, she made her way to Shaun's office, hoping to catch him before he got too caught up in his own work. She found him hunched over his desk, scribbling notes furiously. "Hey, Shaun," she said, trying to keep the concern out of her voice. "Do you have a minute?"

Shaun looked up, his blue eyes filled with curiosity. "Of course, Yn. What's wrong?"

Yn hesitated for a moment, not wanting to worry him unnecessarily. "It's just my ear," she said, trying to sound nonchalant. "It's been hurting for a few days now, and I thought maybe you could take a look at it."

Shaun's expression immediately shifted to one of concern. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" he asked, his voice tinged with worry. "Let me take a look."

Yn sat down in the chair, feeling a sense of comfort wash over her as Shaun gently examined her ear. His touch was always so gentle, so caring, and it made her feel safe and loved. "I'm sure it's nothing," she said, trying to reassure him. "Probably just an ear infection or something."

Shaun hesitated for a moment, his eyes filled with worry. "I don't know," he admitted. "But I don't want to leave anything to chance. We need to get you checked out as soon as possible."

Shaun reached out and took her hand, squeezing it gently. "I'll always take care of you, Yn," he said, his voice filled with determination. "I love you."

As they left the doctor's office, Yn felt a renewed sense of gratitude for the simple things in life. She knew that with Shaun by her side, they could face anything that came their way.

Back at home, Shaun made sure Yn was comfortable, bringing her a warm cup of tea and tucking her into bed. He sat by her side, his presence a soothing balm to her soul. "I'm sorry I worried you," Yn said, reaching out to touch his cheek. "I just didn't want to bother you with something so trivial."

Shaun shook his head, his eyes filled with love and understanding. "It's not trivial if it's bothering you," he said softly. "I want to take care of you, Yn. You mean everything to me."

Yn felt tears welling up in her eyes, overwhelmed by the depth of Shaun's love for her. She pulled him into a tight embrace, holding onto him as if he were the only thing keeping her grounded. "I love you too, Shaun," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion.
