It's cold and I feel my paws weighing on the rocks.
By the side of the stream, the fish swim, and I watch, mesmerized.
It takes for what seems like forever for me to get into the water as well.
The cold pierces my skin slightly, but Its nothing a cat can't handle.
I splash in the water and swim away from any possible predator.
I'm swift in the water, every movement I make stops me from sinking into the cold depths.
I leap out after swimming for a while and I look down at my paws.
What happened?
Where are my paws!?
Oh no....
It's happened again...
I'm...not....
An animal....

I made this based on one of my experiences before knowing I was a therian, I visited Washington once, and I shifted during a family gathering, I snuck off into the forest and this happened...!

The fresh air blows against our fur,
"We are your ancestors"
We all whisper as then we flee
As quick as a snow leopard
As devoted as an Eithiopian wolf
As sly as a Maine coon
As aggressive as a raccoon
As defensive as a puma
As playful as a husky
As we run into the night
