Chapter 35: Family
"There is no lemon so sour that you can't turn it into something like lemonade."
- This is us
She entered quietly, she had lost track of time and it was late so she didn't want to wake her daughter in case Jay was still with her. She knew Jay would be awake waiting for her.
As soon as she entered the room, she saw them, Jay was on the couch with Charlotte on his lap, still sleeping, the TV was on, but on mute and he was focused on his cell phone. Until you feel her presence and look at her.
- Hi... - she whispers to him and approaches.
-Hi... she wanted to wait for you, but she couldn't take it. - They both smile at the sleeping girl. - I left her here, in case you want to put her to bed. - Erin smiles lovingly at him and nods.
- I want. - She drops her things and leans over to take her girl in her arms.
- I'll wait for you in the room, okay? - he kisses Charlie's hair and Erin's forehead after she nods. Both going in opposite directions.
Charlotte didn't wake up with the transfer from Jay's lap to Erin's, nor to the bed. Erin covered her and sat on the edge and caressed her face.
- I love you more than you will know. I'm so lucky to have you and you can't even imagine. You changed me sunshine. -she wipes away a tear that falls and leans over to kiss her forehead. She lingers on the kiss, smelling her daughter's scent and thanking her. Charlotte made her stronger.
...
Erin finds Jay sitting on the bed with a book in his hand, she doesn't care much when she approaches, takes the book from his hands leaving it on the nightstand and climbs into his lap. Jay holds her waist and accepts it easily when she kisses him. It was soft and calm and he reciprocated with the same intensity.
He quickly realized she didn't want to talk when she pulled his shirt over his head. He gladly accepted and started to unbutton her shirt, she had already taken off her blazer when she arrived so it was one less piece for him to remove. As soon as he finished unbuttoning it, she didn't even stop the kisses to take off her shirt and as soon as she was out, she started unbuttoning her bra herself, Jay realized that she was in a hurry and as soon as her bra was also off, he grabbed her. He lay down on the bed, getting on top of her and moving his lips away for a second.
- Did you lock the door? - he asks and she smiles while nodding. They would never make the same mistake again, Charlotte didn't deserve this trauma in her life.
Jay knew Lindsay was in a hurry, but he was going to give her all the affection she deserved. He kisses her neck, moving down to her breasts and she moans with pleasure, but already moving her hands down to unbutton her pants. Jay helps her take off the missing pieces while he gets up to take off his pajama shorts and underwear. As soon as they are both naked, Lindsay wasted no time pulling him into a kiss with one hand and the other already guiding him towards her entrance until he takes her to her limit, both taking their time until they reach climax.
He pulled her close once she recovered. They didn't even bother to put on clothes, he hugged her and she gladly accepted. They were silent for a while, but her breathing was a warning to him that she wasn't sleeping. He was debating whether he should ask or wait for her to open up, it didn't take much when she spoke.
- I am fine. In truth. - She leans on her elbow to look at him and pulls the blanket to cover herself when the cold of the room begins to hit her naked body. - She can't get to me so easily, not anymore. - She smiles at him and kisses him. - But I won't deny that her words about Hank left me thinking, I don't want to believe it, because I know she's manipulative, but I have so many questions.
