Chapter 8 Nai

"Tibet, how was last night?". Nai asked as he smirked at him.
"It was okay, Maki and I got together." Tibet said.
"That's great then. Your efforts have paid off." Nai said.
"WAIT. You. You knew?" Tibet asked.
"Of course I do, everyone knew. Even her brother." Nai said.
"So you all were spying on me?!" Tibet exclaimed.
"Well. Not necessarily...we were just passing by." Nai said.

Tibet, Nai, Maki and White got together at the lunchroom.
"I'm gonna take our lunch and the research papers." White said.
"I'll help you. I'm gonna help White real quick guys." Tibet said.

"Nai. How's your progress with our White?" Maki asked out of the blue.
"It's.. fine. She has always been her." He laughed.
"Why do you like her? I never thought someone like you could like someone like her." Maki said.
"I like her personality. Well, everything about her." Nai said.
"You do realize she is short tempered at times, right?" Maki asked.
"Hehe of course. But that's even more reasons on why I like her." Nai said.
"Well, just making sure you treat her right. Oh. Right. I wanted to tell you that she loves your hair right now. Don't change it. For now." Maki said.
"Ahaha, okay, okay. Thanks Maki."
"Be patient with her, White doesn't have anyone by her side except for you." Maki said.
"How? She has you and Tibet and our friends as well." Nai said.
"She may have her aunt, but one things for sure, she never changed. Make sure to protect her, alright? Although I trust you." Maki said.
"Alright, I will. Don't worry." Nai said.
"Sorry I spoke too much." Maki said.
"It's fine, I understand your concerns." Nai said.

White and Tibet came back. Their faces clearly etched a smile on their faces.

The call
Mr. Pailert calls Nai on the cellphone. He doesn't seem to understand much on what's written on his phone. He called Nai to ask for his help.
"Po, it just says you need to update your phone." Nai said.
"Oh really? Alright then. Thanks son."
"Hello sir! White came from the background.
"Hello, White." Pailert smiled.
"Ah? He knows me?" She asked Nai.
"He does." Nai said while laughing.

White and Mr. Pailert began talking to each other on the phone. She soon told him about how Nai is a nice boy at school. Well, for the most part. Nai couldn't help but smile. Is it that easy to be close to your father in law? White kept talking to him till it was dinner time.

"Goodbye, sir!". White said.
"Pailert. Bye White."

They both waved goodbye to each other.

"Are you done?" Nai asked.
"Yess, sorry I took long." White said.
"It's okay." Nai smiled.

It was dinner time. They had pasta and steak for tonight. White noticed that Maki wasn't touching her food. She came over to her.
"Maki, are you okay? You seem a bit pale." White asked her.

Before she could utter a single word, she tried to walk and she fainted.

"Maki! Help!" White exclaimed.

Nai and Tibet rushed over and carried her to the infirmary.

Master Champ quickly tended to her.

A few hours later, she had woken up around 11 pm at night. She found Tibet there laying on her bed. He had waited for her to wake up. She moved a slight bit and woke him up.

"Maki, you're awake?" He asked her.
"Hmm. I am fine now. Why are you here?" Maki said.
"I'm worried of my girlfriend." Tibet said.

Shoot. That made her stumble with her words.

"I'm okay. Don't call me that, it's weird. Isn't it?" Maki said.
"Hehehe why can't I? It's okay right?" Tibet said.

"The doctors said you were exhausted from the past 2 weeks ish. Get a lot of rest, okay?" Tibet said.
"I will. Worry about yourself. Did you eat dinner?" Maki asked.
"I did." Tibet replied.

They both smiled at each other.
