"How did you get my number?"

"Caller ID."

"But isn't it a company phone you're using?"

"Yeah, but you called so many times that I kinda memorized it."

"Why are you calling at two in the morning?"

"Why are you awake at two in the morning?"

"I'm...working on something."

"Homework?"

"Not school related."

"What?"

"It's nothing."

"It's always something. I refuse to believe it's a black hole, which is presumably 'nothing'."

"Fine....it's a book."

"A book report? I thought it's not for school."

"No...it's  a book I'm writing."

"Oh? Oh! That's cool!" 

"...Really?"

"Why? Were you expecting me to laugh at you or something?" 

"Well, yeah."

"Why?"

"Because." 

"I write too!"

"Yeah, gay fanfiction. With Draco and Harry in compromising positions."

"Don't diss Drarry! Drarry is love, Drarry is life!"

"...don't quote that."

"Okay...okay...so what are you writing about?"

"I don't know. Mostly drabbles. Short stories. Nothing long. I haven't had the patience to go for something long."

"Nobody does...if you do write a novel, what would it be about?"

"I don't know. I'm not particularly original, nor do I have any fascinating real-life events. Reality's kind of boring."

"Hey! What do I say about slipping into that monotone again? Life is boring but you can make it un-boring by yourself!"

"Un-boring isn't a word!"

"YES, IT IS!"
