Chapter 7- Rising Tension

[A few days later]

"Visit again~" I looked at the time and it was half past twelve, the sun was shining bright outside and the last customer just left after getting their takeout. 
Removing my apron, I started arranging the plates and cups while preparing to close the shop for the afternoon. 
I walked over to the tables to get the rest of the plates when the door opened

"Wel-"

"NOONA!" I flinched when a bunch of unfamiliar voices suddenly yelled. I turned my head to the door and saw four guys standing by the door. I squinted my eyes to get a better look, that is when my eyes widened and I realized who they were. 

"You- YOU GUYS?!" I nearly yelled pointing at them. THOSE GUYS! THE ONES WHO ORDERED THE CUPCAKES BUT REFUSED TO PAY! But... what are they doing here? And is that... what?... tears rolling down their cheeks?

"NOONA!" They screamed before running towards me. I took a step back thinking that they were trying to pick a fight with me. I folded my fingers into a fist and stood there, waiting for one to try and hit me so I could hit them back. 
But I was taken aback when instead of trying to fight, the four of them kneeled in front of me and held my feet.

"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU- HEY!" I yelled trying to get them to stand up but they refused 

"NOONA, WE ARE SORRY" they yelled together

"OKAY OKAY, NOW GET UP!"

"NO. FIRST YOU HAVE TO FORGIVE US, TAKE THE PAYMENT FOR THE CUPCAKES, AND WITHDRAW THE LAWSUIT"

"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT, I FORGIVE YOU, I'LL TAKE THE PAYMENT AND WITH-" I paused before saying, "Wait a minute... withdraw what?"

They looked up before saying, "The lawsuit"

"The... THE LAWSUIT?!" I yelled

"Noona... we are in the second year of university, and we don't have much money to afford the lawsuit, that night we were drunk and we had no intention of doing that! And if we knew that your boyfriend was this scary... we would never even think of doing something like that not only to you but to anyone,  We all swear to god! So... please ask your boyfriend to withdraw the lawsuit" they pleaded

"BOYFRIEND? LAWSUIT?! WHAT ARE-"
They looked at each other because I was probably more shocked about the lawsuit than them

"This is the notice that we received," One of them said, showing me a piece of paper which read, 

".... all four residents residing in Cosmo Apartments, Flat number 3C, Myeongdong are being sued for breach of contract, fraud, defamation, intentional inflict on emotional distress, and unjust enrichment" I read further down but stopped when I saw the name of the person who had filled the lawsuit
Jeong Jaehyun. 

But wait... you could sue someone... for just refusing to pay for what.... cupcakes?! 

I scoffed. 

"Noona, we are terribly sorry. Here is the payment for 15 cupcakes..." they said while handing me over an envelope, " ... and please ask your boyfriend to withdraw the lawsuit. We'll leave now" 

"But... he is not-" they left before letting me finish my sentence

Sighing, I opened the envelope and got the second shock. 
"HEY!! THE CUPCAKES ARE ONLY 15,000 WON...." I groaned under my breath, "... WHY... why would you pay 20,000 won???" 

I sat on the table and grabbed my hair, ".... and you all said you had no money... those pricks" I said while gritting my teeth 
But now wasn't the time to grit my teeth.
Right now, I need answers. From him.
