The next day, Lumine packed up the Serenitea Pot and set off towards Mondstadt, of course without telling the Fatui... after all, he was the reason she fled. Although he hadn't done anything bad yet, she had the feeling that his games would soon take a dark turn if she didn't disappear quickly. However, a few miles after Wangshu Inn, when the traveler took a short break, she suddenly found Ajax sitting on a rock in front of her with a tense smile. Oh dear, he must have been mad that she left him behind.

At first he didn't say anything, just stared at her reproachfully with his deep blue eyes. He had already followed her since Wangshu Inn. Then finally he sighed and stood up to hug the tense girl. "Luckily I managed to catch up to you."

Lumine swallowed and answered, her voice slightly shaking. "I'm sorry, Tartaglia. I didn't mean to wake you up at this hour..." She looked around, the sun was just rising. While she bit her lip, she thought about how uncomfortable she felt lying... thousands of thoughts racing through her head, she took a step back in fear of what the man would say.

Childe smirked, stepping closer to Lumine again. "Oh, don't worry your pretty little head about that, baby. I was awake." He ran a finger down her cheek, teasingly tracing the line of her jaw. Of course he knew that his pretty songbird was lying to him, but he didn't say it.

Her body shuddered at his contact. Childe loved how reactive she was, how her weak little body responded to his touch. She just nodded and walked past him, further towards Mondstadt, no idea how she would ever be able to look him in the eyes again and afraid of what he would do in Mondstadt. "Such a shame," Childe mused, following after her. He couldn't help but admire the way her hips swayed beneath her robes. The idea of getting her alone in a secluded place was quite tempting... "Little liar,"

She looked back at him for a moment, "did you say something?" Slightly confused, she waited for his answer. "Mmm, no. Nothing worth repeating," Childe replied with a grin. He knew how to push her buttons just enough to keep her on edge. Inside, he was seething with anger as she danced around him with such ease. It only fueled his desire to possess her more. As he didn't say anything else, the girl continued walking, carefree and relieved.

They finally arrived in the region, before they turned into a valley, his sweetheart stopped in front of a large winery. She seemed to be debating whether she should say hello to Diluc, she didn't want Ginger to attack the poor redhead. If the other man were to breathe in the wrong direction towards Lumine, that would be enough. After a while they could clearly see the city, which was located in the middle of a huge lake. Large windmills and towers rose into the sky, but the most impressive was the gigantic cathedral.

Tartaglia watched her for a moment, wondering what she was thinking. He couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked, even with the worry lines forming on her forehead. His heart skipped a beat as he thought about claiming her for himself already. "Are you alright, my dear?"

Pulled from her thoughts, her gaze softened and she gave him a smile. "I'm just happy to see my old friends again," she explained to him as convincingly as possible. She was indeed happy, but worried at the same time.

"I see," Tartaglia said, his voice calm. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy at the mention of her old friends. But he tried to push it aside, not wanting to ruin their reunion. "Well, let's go introduce ourselves then." Lumine's smile grew wider and she grabbed his hand to lead him over the bridge towards the city. Before they entered, however, she let go of his hand to be on the safe side.

Tartaglia followed after her, his gaze trailing over her body as they walked. He couldn't help but feel possessive of her, even though she was technically free to do as she pleased. The thought of seeing other men looking at her made his skin crawl with jealousy.
