Phayu spent the afternoon with his crisis management team and Saifah trying to stem the tide of stories and speculation that was hitting the so-called 'news' (aka tabloid) sites and social media.

They successfully took down articles that were blatant lies or clickbait trash but were not successful in stopping the speculation on business sites about the deal with Khun Pakin.

Most concerning were the allegations and hate comments on social media that Rain was (1) cheating on Chai, (2) supposedly hooking up at his engagement party with Phayu, and (3) being pimped out by his father to the AlphaKing to close this highly lucrative deal!

He couldn't imagine what Rain was feeling.

Well... he could.

Because he could feel him.

He had been trying all day to mute these sensations because it just made him want to drop everything and run to him. Again.

He couldn't read his thoughts, but he could sense his mood. It was like a trickle of water, slipping in between the rocky outcroppings of his mind, slowly invading his psyche.

Rain had been dealt a devastating blow last night finding out at the engagement party that his fiancé was lying and manipulating him. Then to wake up today cast as the bad guy when he had done nothing to deserve this was just so horribly unfair.

With each new crisis and influx of intense emotion, that trickle was becoming more like a stream carrying them closer and closer to each other. It was happening much quicker than Phayu expected. This need to not only want to be near each other but to not be able to be away from each other. It was happening faster and more intensely than last time.

And Phayu just wasn't ready for that. His emotions were trying to play catch up.

So he did what he did best. Focus on things he could do or solve.

He tapped into his connections to try to fix, or at least improve, the situation so that Rain's distress would be eased. If his distress eased, maybe the pull toward him would lessen.

But now he also had a pending crisis around the launch with the speculation about Rain's influence. He needed to make a statement to nip that in the bud and take back control of the narrative. He couldn't risk not getting his baby out into the world. He had put too much of himself into it and it truly was so revolutionary that many people and processes will be helped.

But he couldn't fix this part on his own. He knew what he had to do.
