Chapter 12

It was a tiring but worth it 12 hours flight. "Coffee?" Someone offered me pero nakatingin lang kasi ako sa ibaba while I was waiting for my sundo as we have a relative here. Oo nga pala, they gave us crew the time to rest, go to shopping, sight seeing, and also explore the destination where we are at. Kaya ayon! I thought of visiting our relatives here na lang as they are near lang by the airport. Pero! I'll be staying naman sa hotel na binooked ng airline/company namin. So, ihahatid rin nila ako sa hotel ko.

"Thank you, I badly needed this" pag tanggap 'ko dahil naka sealed naman iyon at isa siyang coffee from a famous coffee shop here in Vancouver

"We'll be having a 2 days stay here.. aren't you excited to explore Vancouver?"

"I am much excited! What about you?" Pakikipag-usap ko habang umiinom ng kape. Pero hindi ko pa rin iyon nakikita kasi nasa bandang gilid ko siya.

"I am, as long as my crew are."

"That's great! I mean.. we all should enjoy this layover" saad ko sabay tingin saaking cellphone.

"Calista?" I heard someone's calling my name so I hurried up and said my goodbye to the person who gave me this coffee without looking back kasi naka-focus na talaga ako sa tumawag saakin and it was my aunt!

"Aunt Russel! You're finally here.. omg i missed you guys so much!!" At sinalubong nila ako ng yakap. My aunt is with her husband which is my uncle Harold and my cousins Hazle and Harrel.

"Hello there Calista! We missed you!" Bati ni Hazle saakin, mag kaedaran lang kami pero siguro day-off kaya nakasama siya sa pag sundo saakin.

"Hi ate Cali" bati naman ni Harrel saakin which is ang bunsong kapatid ni Hazle.

"Hi to the both of you!! Grabe.. Harrel you're growing up so fast.. nako Aunt Russel ha? Baka sa next balik 'ko dito mas taller na si Harrel saakin"

"Hahaha I think so? He's growing really fast lalo na't nakakahiligang mag basketball with the friends"

"How are you uncle Harold??" Sabay beso ko sakaniya

"I'm fine! It is so nice to meet you again.. how lucky that you have two days layover here in Canada"

"Yes, uncle! Well? I think we should not waste such time.."

"Oh yeah! Let's go and eat somewhere for dinner"

"Grabe.. dalagang dalaga na talaga kayo ni Hazle"

"Time flies so fast, aunt" sagot ko naman habang magkahawak kamay kami ni Hazle na naglalakad. Aunt Russel is one of my mom's cousin especially that grandma and aunt Russel's mothers were sisters kaya close rin talaga kami. "Uhm, kailan niyo nga po pala balak mag vacation sa Pinas?"

"We're still planning that.. as your uncle is really busy on working also Hazle, right Hazy?"

"Yeah.. and that was very sad.. I badly want to visit Philippines again but because our work schedule we couldn't travel"
