Chapter 9 - Only you, amor

It had been a week now since I stopped talking to Carlos, too much had happened during that week and I feel so damn bad and guilty.
Lando argued with Carlos about what happened, Aurora was damn pissed off at Carlos who tried to beat him but Lando luckily stopped her. Carlos tried to call me every day but I never answered him and I spent the nights crying in my room ever since that post circulated.

I was taking a walk in the park in front of my house while listening to my favorite music when a dog ran towards me. As soon as I saw the dog I recognized him immediately, it was Bob, one of Carlos' dogs.
Bob had always been a sweet and cute dog to me since Carlos had taken him on one of our dates.

"Hey little one, why did you run away..?" I whispered as I stroked Bob. He barked happily in response as he wagged his tail.

"Bo -..." he heard someone start but stopped, so I looked up and saw.... Carlos.
"Amor... Why did you not talk to me these days...?" he whispered softly as he immediately he hugged me tightly.
"I was busy with the kids, sorry..." I lied about it, I was still hurt and sad about the post of him with that girl that I didn't know, but I didn't say anything about it.
"All right" he whispered softly, then he kissed my cheek and smiled a little.
"My sister wants to meet you" he added softly.
I was a little shocked, 'cause I only met his dad and his mom, but I didn't know that his sister wanted to meet me too.
So I only nodded softly.
"Okay" I whispered softly

(At Carlos' house)

As soon as we arrived at Carlos' house I saw the same gossip girl waiting for us at the front door, when I looked at her the realization hit me like a train. Carlos wasn't cheating on me, he was just helping his sister relax that day.
"Hey, you must be Matthew, mi hermano told me a lot about you, I'm Blanca" she said softly as she held out her hand to me with a smile.
"Nice to meet you, Blanca..." I whispered softly as I shook her hand.
Blanca looked at both me and Carlos and then with a smile she entered the house while she said that she would leave us alone for a moment.
"Carlos, I should tell you something..." I whispered as I looked down and then looked at Carlos.
"Sure, what's up love?" he asked with his classic smile that took my breath away every time.
"There was a rumor on a gossip page on Instagram that I was cheating on myself... and I believed it... that's the real reason why I stopped talking to you for a week..." I admitted while looking away from Carlos.
Carlos was silent for a while, then his gaze softened and he hugged me tightly wrapping his arms around my hips.
"Oh mi amor, you don't have to worry about anything" he said smiling sweetly at me.
I looked at him. "Really?" I asked softly.
"Of course, it's only you, love" he whispered and then pulled me into a slow, sweet kiss.
I blushed slightly and then kissed him back with a small smile.

Now I understand, in the case of insecurities I have to talk to Carlos about it even if I know that I'm the only one for him.
