"Why?" Ekansh asked, looking at the ring. His heart felt something, something he might suspect to be genuine endless love.

"Why what?" She asked, looking at him, confused.

Ekansh couldn't help but chuckle surprised "I mean... I am the one pursuing you... why are- why are you doing this?" He asked her sincerely.

He almost felt guilty, even though he did plan the whole treehouse thing, it was nothing compared to her ring. Her promise ring, that she had brought from the money she earned, which was used to spoil her family.

"And who exactly told you that?" She asked, taking a step back.

"Told me what?" He asked, the conversation flew out of his head as he was busy admiring her and was lost in his thoughts.

"Told you, that you were the only one?" She asked, the silly smile on her lips played as she walked back to her phone, turning the recording off.

"The one only?... Persuing..." He muttered the last word to himself, but Akshita's ears caught it, chuckling.

"I heard guys never get spoiled, like flowers, rings, cute handmade things, and you guys don't verbalize your needs for these things, so I thought why not?" She said, truthfully.

"You are...something..." He said, not believing his ears.

He thanked God for giving his mother such a great idea and wondered what punya (good deeds) he did in previous life.

"Come on..." She urged walking up the stairs to the tree house, it was obvious to her that he wanted to talk to her, and she sure does enjoy some deep conversations.

He hung his head low, chuckling, shaking his head. He was some lucky dude alright.

He walked up behind her, not missing the glisten in her eyes when she saw the interior of the treehouse.

The interior was just as beautiful, the small square room, lit with fairy lights. There was a shelf where some figures were placed and an emerald green carpet in the heart of the room. "Soo..." She dragged, sitting down comfortably on the carpet.

"What do you wanna do?" She regretted the words as soon as they left her lips as she closed her eyes, the top of her ears red as colourful thoughts entered her mind.

Ekansh couldn't help but smirk, "I don't know, you tell..." He asked continuing the teasing tone.

"Okay, who are your role models?" She asked, not knowing what to say. "Well. I'd say my dad..." Ekansh answers, surprised at the quick yet fascinating question as Akshita nods.

"Your turn," she said, "Well... I had only heard about your considerate nature, but now that I have witnessed it first hand," he says raising his hand flashing his ring, "How do you do it? Always be so, so nice?"

"You see, you haven't seen the whole of me yet... You know what, I'll be freaking honest with you..." She said, sitting straighter as if she'd reveal the password to the atom bomb.

"I am a chemelion, figuratively of course, You see me with my friends, I am different. See me with my family, I'm different. See me in some random social gatherings, you wouldn't even know I could speak so much. It's not that I have double faces and I am fake with everyone or something..." She explains as Ekansh hears attentively.
