"Xuxi!!" exclaimed Auntie Zhao.

"You're going to be late, child."

These words were nothing Cheng Shuxin had never heard before. For some strange reason, she could not help but like to sleep in during the morning hours. Her bed just felt more comfortable at that time. Totally not her fault for staying up late, every single night.

"I'm going, I'm going!" Shuxin said as she put on her shoes and made her way for the door.

Auntie Zhao scoffed and shook her head.

"That child is always giving me a headache at these early hours. This is not good for my health!" she thought to herself.

Shuxin made her way along the bustling crowds of workers and students taking on the morning rush of the city. Despite almost always running late, she made it a point to grab breakfast every morning at Mr. Yang's food stall. She liked the rich flavours of the steamed bao buns and how conveniently close he was to her bus stop.

At the bus stop, Shuxin waited for her friend, Zhang Jia.

"Xuxi!" Jia yelled out. She waved at her friend and ran towards her direction.

"Oh, Hello!" replied Shuxin.

Jia made her way to the bus stall as the pair waited for the bus to come pick them up. Shuxin offered one of her bao buns to Jia and they both munched on their breakfast while Jia ranted on about the latest school gossip.
