Natsu X Reader: The Day We Met

Chapter 3

Year X777

 (Y/N) POV

why...why did mama leave me?! where did she go?! I have to find Natsu and Igneel and tell them what happened...

Normal POV

and so,(Y/N) starting walking to Igneel's cave,it was 3 hours away on foot...this is going to be a long walk

Natsu POV

Dad...where are you? why did you leave me behind? 

my thoughts were interrupted,I saw (Y/N) coming this way,I was happy for a moment but then I realized...where is (D/N)?! why is (Y/N) coming all by herself?! then I saw her collapse I ran over to her in worry

"(Y/N)?! are you ok?! where is (D/N)?!"

"I....was hoping you'd know....is Igneel gone too?"

I was speechless....if I said anything I felt like I'd cry...I didn't want to cry in front of her...I don't understand why I wouldn't want to...maybe it was my pride?

my thoughts were interrupted by the sound of crying I looked down and saw that (Y/N) was crying so I grabbed her hand hoisted her up and gave her a big hug,a bigger hug than I've done in the past

(Y/N) POV  

when he didn't say anything I understood that Igneel was gone too...mama...I try not to cry...but I can't hold it in and start crying but all of the sudden i'm being hugged by Natsu...I was speechless but I hugged back and cried some more...then he broke the silence

"I'm here for you..." his voice was choppy,as if he was crying too...

"I'll protect you,I won't let anything happen to you..."

I stopped crying after he said that,I hugged him tighter "Thank you...."

Natsu POV

"Thank you...."

my face starts heating up, and I have no idea why...but I brush it off I can't start worrying about me...or else (Y/N) could get hurt...I stopped our hug and backup a little

(Y/N) POV

he stopped hugging me and has a very serious face

"Let's go look for them..." he holds my hand making me blush

"together..."

I blush more at that but I nod and we start looking...

TIME SKIP DUE TO ABSOLUTE BOREDOM OF SEARCHING

(Y/N) POV

we've been looking for a few days now and no luck...Natsu found a town and we're heading there but I suddenly get sleepy probably because I haven't slept since their disappearance...

"Tired?" Natsu said out of nowhere which scared me,I yawn and reply

"a little..." it was more than a little,it was a lot

the Natsu crouches down to the ground "get on... you need sleep more than me..."

"you need it just as much as I do!" I grouch then yawn again changing my tone

"alright then...." I climb on because I know he can handle my weight then I fall asleep

Natsu POV 

I'd hate to do this but I think I should leave her with someone here...she could get hurt out there and I'd feel bad for the rest of my life so I start looking at the houses and sniffing around
