Chapter 15

The next morning, after breakfast, everyone headed to the mall for shopping. Taehyung still hadn't forgiven Aena and kai, so neither of them joined for shopping. Taehyung, Jungkook, Mingyu, and Bam entered the mall. No one recognized Taehyung as the prince as he had returned korea after 10 damn years, so he took advantage of this and shopped like an ordinary person.

Everyone went to different sections of the store to select their outfits, but Taehyung pulled Jungkook along with him.

"Bun tell me, in which color would you like to see me?"

"BLACK! Wear black, you look so hot, he covered his mouth and averted his gaze

I mean  good in  black, absolutely handsome."

Taehyung smirked and started selecting his outfit. Jungkook was following closely behind Taehyung. When Taehyung turned around, he saw Jungkook walking right with him.

"What happened, Bun? Didn't you like anything?"

"No, it's not that. I want you to select an outfit for me too. I want to wear clothes of your choice."

Taehyung finalized his jet black suit, which had diamonds on the collar and cuffs, a suit Jungkook really liked, and they went to another section to select Jungkook's dress.

"Bun I want you to wear white. You'll look like an angel, which you are." He whispered in Jungkook's ear.

Jungkook said blushing, "I'll wear whatever you want me to Tae."

Then they selected a white outfit for Jungkook, made entirely of feathers and accompanied by a diamond crown. They both gave their sizes at the counter and waited for Mingyu and Bam.

Bam struggled a lot to find a dress that Mingyu liked, but Mingyu eventually picked a random suit, and both of them went to the counter. Taehyung paid everyone's bill, and the four of them headed to the jewelry shop.

"Hello sir, how may I assist you?" the shopkeeper greeted them.

"I need engagement rings. Show me the best ones you have. Price is not an issue," Taehyung replied.

The shopkeeper showed them some couple rings, but none of them appealed to Jungkook. Then Jungkook and Taehyung each picked a ring they liked and got them packed. Despite a lot of urging, Mingyu didn’t buy anything, while Bam secretly bought a couple bracelet.

They all left the jewelry shop and were heading towards the car when Mingyu suddenly remembered something. "I forgot my wallet. You all get in the car, I’ll be back in two minutes."

Everyone waited in the car for Mingyu. He quickly went back to the jewelry shop and pulled out a ring from his pocket. It was a very old ring with just one diamond set in it. Looking at the ring, he smiled, remembering his mother.

"Son, I'm giving you this ring. Put this ring on your lover's finger during your engagement," his mother had said.

Feeling emotional, Mingyu placed the ring on the counter and said, "Please pack this."

After getting the ring packed, he put it back in his pocket and left the shop. He looked up at the sky and smiled softly, saying, "Mom, I'm giving this ring to my lover, as I’ve kept it safe for 10 years. Mom, please forgive me, I’m only following half of your wish. I'm giving this ring to my lover, but he is not my partner."

He quickly wiped his tears and got into the car.

Everyone then headed back to the palace.

They were on their way to palace when Jungkook and Bam got hungry.
