(a few weeks later)

Graham-

Time went by in a rush. It feels like just yesterday, I was living with my mum and my sister and I had 'me time' all the time alone in my room then all of that switched up when y/n and her dad moved in.

My house feels full and there's always something happening 24/7, there's never a single dull moment. Y/n and George have officially settled in and seeing them everyday has become a part of my routine now but that doesn't mean I still don't hate my mum being together with George.

Though, hanging out with y/n and Luna distracts me from my mum and George's PDA, god it's like they are a show off high school couple, being lovey dovey in the corridor, it makes me uneasy. They've even got little nicknames for each other that I wish I could un-hear.

Y/n and Luna are growing closer everyday, I reckon they talk about boys and their deepest darkest secrets or whatever they do during their sleepovers that I'm never invited to.

I am still going to summer camp with y/n. I see her at the house then at the swimming pool. I see her everywhere, everyday yet I can't get enough. I am never tired of seeing her and talking to her. There's something about her, when we talk everything feels very smooth, it's all easy flowing and being around her, I feel happy and excited.

I like being flatmates with her and I don't see George as my step dad or y/n as my step sister. I just don't.

I switch sides and lay on my stomach, I slowly lift up my head to look at the calendar on my bedroom wall. Today marks the last day of the 1st month of summer. It's the last day of June. I yawn and the tiredness of the afternoon nap I just took washes over me.

I stretch and climb out of bed, today is my sister's birthday and it's her 18th so it's a big deal. She has been going around telling people she's 18 since a month now, celebration in advance I guess.

Anyway, Luna and y/n went to the mall for birthday shopping and that was an hour ago. They must be back home now, I think while climbing down the stairs.

I take off my glassess to rub my eyes then put them back on when I reach the last step of the staircase. I hear commotion going down in the kitchen/dining area. I am right, they are back home.

The muffled conversations become clear-er as I walk towards the kitchen. It's my sister talking to someone and- it's someone on the phone. I see y/n is standing behind Luna with shopping bags in her hands.

I take the bags from her to free her hands, "You are back-! So what did you two buy?" I ask her.

But before y/n can reply my sister speaks to the person on the phone quite loudly, "This is so unexpected! I seriously did not expect a call from you-yeah yeah- I'm celebrating today. We will probably go to a restraunt! Thanks for the birthday wish, dad!"

My heart drops as I realize my dad is on the phone.. What!?

"Are you okay? Where are you?" My sister asks him.

"Oh okay- yeah bye!" She is made to hang up as my dad probably made up some excuse.

Luna turns around to face us, "He says he only called me to wish me happy birthday- he's too busy to answer questions haha"

I feel a sharp pain in my body and my palms are sweaty. I roughly place the bags on the table and talk to Luna, "What!? He called-"

"Don't drop the bags!" Y/n scolds.

She shrugs, "Yeah well our parents hate each other but not us-"

I haven't done any running but it feels like I can't catch my breath, "He didn't call me on my birthday- my birthday comes before yours! In march!"
