Kairos was so consumed by his rage that he almost missed it. The sound of his name, weak and desperate, cut through the chaos like a knife. He whipped around, his eyes locked onto Amiriah's. She was on the ground, struggling to maintain a sitting position, her face contorted in pain, and blood leaking from her wound and onto her clothes. Crystal was beside her, hands gripping her shoulders, her own expression one of worry and helplessness.
He fell to his knees next to her, his arms enveloping her as she allowed herself to collapse into his embrace. The scent of her blood hit him hard, mingling with the metallic tang already thick in the air.
"Oh baby," he murmured his voice a gentle contrast to the violent storm that had possessed him moments before. He cradled her close, his fingers trembling as he tilted her head to inspect the wound. The sight of the injury made his heart clench.
"I can heal it." De'Andre's calm, steady tone brought a measure of relief. The wizard knelt in front of them, his hands already glowing with a soft, blue light. De'Andre's healing abilities were renowned, and Kairos knew that if anyone could help Amiriah, it was him.
"Do it," Kairos commanded, his voice rough with emotion.
De'Andre moved with practiced efficiency, his glowing hands hovering over Amiriah's wound. The blue light intensified, and a warm, tingling sensation spread through her neck. Kairos held his breath, his eyes locked on Amiriah's face, watching as her as he eyes began to flutter shut.
Crystal hovered nearby, her eyes wide with concern. "Is she going to be okay?"
"She will be," De'Andre assured her, his focus unwavering. The wound started to close, the torn flesh knitting back together under his touch. Amiriah's breathing steadied, and color began to return to her cheeks. "She'll just be tired for a while."
Kairos cursed himself silently, realizing that he should've listened to Orion.
"She's high," De'Andre announced in surprise.
"Huh?" Crystal asked as her brows furrowed in confusion.
"It took longer than usual for her wounds to heal. Usually, it is much faster than this. I could sense medications and drugs in someone's system. I can't tell what it is, but most likely it's marijuana, that is the only thing that could be here at this party...hopefully."

Amiriah groaned as she woke up to the sun shining brightly through her windows. The light felt harsh against her eyes, and she squinted, trying to make sense of her surroundings. Slowly, she sat up, confusion etching her features. She didn't remember getting back to her room. The memories of last night's horrors flashed through her mind like a sinister slideshow. Her hand instinctively reached toward her neck, searching for the spot where the vampire had bitten her. It was gone, the skin smooth and unmarked.
She swung her legs over the side of the bed, her body swaying slightly as she stood. The room spun for a moment, her mind still foggy and disoriented. She stumbled into the bathroom, gripping the sink for support. After splashing cold water on her face and brushing her teeth, she felt a little more grounded but no less shaken.
Stepping out of the bathroom, she heard hushed whispers coming from the living room. Her heart pounded in her chest as she approached the door. She cracked it open, peering out cautiously. The sight of everyone sprawled around the living room, pillows and blankets covering the floor and sofas, indicated they had a big sleepover, one she had missed entirely.
De'Andre noticed her first. "You're awake. How are you feeling?" he asked, his eyes filled with concern.
Amiriah took a hesitant step into the room, her voice barely above a whisper. "I, um... hungry?"
