"Wait. Let me leave a note," I informed Ravi, who was waiting for me outside.
Thanks. I'll go out for a while to get some air.
- SersiI simply wore jorts and a cropped tank top since Ravi and I will just stroll around the area for a small talk. Hindi naman gano'n katagal ang hindi namin pagkikita, but we really need to catch up on some important details we missed that were left unsaid after our quarrel back in Manila.
Once and for all, I wanted to break the ice between us to avert a tiny cube turning into something big like that of an iceberg.
When I stepped out, I was a bit distracted by his posture when I caught a glimpse of him standing and patiently waiting for me. Ravi was wearing a plain white-colored polo tucked in his black trouser pants, with penny loafers completing his overall classic outfit. His neat appearance exuded a powerful charisma that would surely leave anyone breathless.
His hair swayed in the strong wind. He may be possibly pondering about the quick sequence of events in our lives, trying to navigate with the adjustments.
I only wanted nothing but positivity that would resonate in his entirety.
"Let's go?" I clung my arm in his, finally approaching Ravi when I couldn't stop myself from falling in love by the mere sight of him. "Are you sure you can walk?"
He nodded. "Don't worry. It's nothing."
"Don't tell me you drove on your way here?" I started.
He fixed his pair of eyeglasses by gently pushing it from his nose bridge. "The wound's not that deep. I didn't come here unprepared," he said. "See? I can even jump and put pressure on it without wincing from the pain."
Two things that need to be praised here in Santa Ana are the cool breeze and the environment covered with tall and green trees. Cagayan Provincial Hospital's not that bad because even if it's far and the building reminds me of Halloween, the coastal area here offered a homey vibe and tranquility—a perfect slice of escape away from the stressful shackles of the city.
"Oo nga pala. Have you eaten breakfast?" tanong ko.
Ravi shook his head. "Not yet. Pati yata ikaw ay hindi pa kumakain." I nodded. "May nadaanan akong malapit na karinderya kanina. Doon nalang tayo dumiretso."
