Chapter 8

Pov Nova

I can't stay here... I can't I just can't, if he finds out im here. hes going to do horrible things... Maybe I could convince them to follow him! he could... Keep them all safe! Hes kept me safe.. right?

I glance down to the blanket, it was soft.. The vanilla smell was pleasant, unlike the smell of iron, dreadful smell. My tail wraps around my leg, I have to leave though... I sit up, my legs wanting to give out from pain. I take a deep breath, it felt harsh.. Very. I glanced over towards the door, Im sorry Ray, I take a few steps to the door. It wasn't locked, luckily. I leave the room, but pause in the hallway.  Maybe I should- No, I begin to walk down the stairs taking a peak out to see if anyone was there.

"Nova?" A voice called out making me jump and turn around, It was Ella. "What are you doing?" She asked glancing towards the door. I stared at her then at the door,  i rub the back of my neck giving a weak smile trying to make her not believe I was leaving. "Lunch is being made right now, the critters will be coming here anytime soon... So.. if you don't wanna be benbarned by critters you should probably go find Ray. he should be upstairs." 

She explained, she's right. I looks away from the door and her and glance over to the darkened hall leading to the staircase I begin to walk over there. 

"Hey Ray? you-" Penny comes out from the kitchen pausing, and staring at me. Stunned, I freak out and run upstairs. "Wait!" She runs over to me stopping me. "Nova?! your alive?!" Penny said, then without warning hugs me. I push her away, why does everyone have to hug me... "Oh- uhm Penny.." Ella looked at Penny, Penny stops hugging me to look at Ella. "Sorry about not telling you sooner, but Nova I don't think can speak." She said glancing at me.

"Oh." Penny looked down at the floor, I started to smell vanilla making me instinctually turn around, Ray was at the top of the staircase. He smiles and runs down hugging me, I gently push him away. Ray stops hugging me and looks at penny nervously smiling. "Oh- Hi penny, I guess you found Nova." He laughed rubbing the back of his neck, "Yeah I did sugar, why didn't you tell me or the others already?"She asked.

"Well I thought it would have been a better time to tell you all at lunch." Ray explained, his tail idly swaying back and fourth. "Oh, RIGHT LUNCH." Penny realized she hadn't finished up lunch and bolts into the kitchen, a smile tugged at my lips... It's good to be back... tonight I'll leave. they'll be asleep then, no distractions. 

I was sitting in the kitchen, I was watching Penny cook, I would help but I didn't know really anything about it. "Finally finished, imma go put these out on the table and I think Ray will come get you okay?" She explained to me, I looked away from her, but give a small nod. 

She soon left the kitchen, I stared at the tiled floor, . . . though memories... the tiles turned black, I could feel a cold liquid seep from my chest, I touched my chest, it was blood. no no no... please not now. I hold my chest with my paw hoping for it all to go away.

"Nova?" I snapped my head up, Ray was infront of me, everything was normal again. "Come on!" He hummed grabbing my arm and forcing me up.

POV CHANGE

Ray tries to bring nova to the dining room , but he paused. "Hey its gonna be okay Nova.." He reassured, Nova looked away, "Here I'll go in first." Ray hummed, Ray then walked into the dining room, all the critters look over at Ray smiling.

"Ray! Where did you go?" ChiChi asked, Ray nervously laughs. "Okay i need you guys not to freak out." He said, getting a confused look out of most of the critters. "What do you mean?" Hopps asked, "Yes, what do you mean?" Elliot agreed.

Ray sighed and grabbed Novas hand bringing him into the dining room, the critters looks shocked, stunned seeing Nova. "N-nova?" Chichi stuttered, he got up and went to hug nova, soon did Hopps. "Where did you go?! We thought you were-..." She didn't answer. Nova looked away pushing the two away, "Right, Nova doesn't for some reason talk, so just give him some time! Actually! Let's eat." Ray suggested, The 2 critters go sit back down. Ray grabs Nova hand again to show him to his chair, which was right next to his chair. Both sit down

Everyone begins to eat, they ask questions to Nova, but nova doesn't give anything not even a nod or shake of his head. Ray looked at Nova with concerned, he gently puts his hand into Nova hand trying to calm him down. Nova glances over to Ray, Ray gives Nova a cheerful smile. 

Nova just stares at him for a few moments before giving a small smile. Ray tail begun to wag at the sight. Nova looked back at his food, beginning to eat again.

After Lunch

Hopps and Chichi wanted to speak with Nova more wanted to know everything that happened but Ella got them not to and get them back to work. Now Nova was just in the living room staring at the carpeted floor, he didn't even notice Ray In the room. "Nova!" He called out plopping himself on the couch next to Nova. Nova freaked out and looked at Ray, soon calming down after realizing it was just Ray. 

"I totally forgot to give this back to you!" Ray hummed, Nova looked confused before something is placed around his neck. It was his pendant. "There we go!" He smile, Nova gently grab the pendant to look at it, his eyes dilated a few moments of silence is past. Nova finally looks up at Ray and smiles hugging him tightly. Ray's tail wags quickly. Then he smiles back widely hugging Nova back. "Your welcome Nova..." Nova finally lets go looking at Ray.

Change of POV

Im really sorry Ray, but its for your own good. For now ill cherish every moment I shall get with you.. My sun.

ANDDDD THIS CHAPTER IS DONE, this isnt the chapter I have been working on for awhile but im getting very close to finishing it! if you guys want to pop in some suggestions into comments im all ears!
