So you've probably noticed that this is a Catnap x Dogday, and well... Theres not a lot of it in this book this was slightly intended once i started getting to the later chapters. This first arc or story was heavy on the slow burn and honest build up of all the critters, even if maybe it wasn't executed the best.
A few things of note that i have seen a couple of people bring up, are the critters experiments like in the og.
Yes, sorta. In this universe i did make them experiments, but NOT just kid concisous moved to a toy. The critters are not toys, they were created fully via human and kid remains. They were once baby critters, in the start of the series i mentioned them being around 7 or 10. The scientist there wanted to create something new entirely alien to the human race. They created the critters and kept them in the dome wanting to keep them there till they were old enough they could train them to be around children.
Now this directive of the story can be used or not, the background of the critters creation is enough left out in the open to be shifted though in the second book this may not be the case.
