I started to freak out as I made my way back inside. What if they do kill him? What if they rape him! Shit, shit, shit! This bad. Really bad. But not as bad as what I saw come through the front door.
"River honey we're ho- AHHHH! Who the hell are you?" Apparently, Rivers mom screeches at me.
"Ma'am! Calm down." I try to settle her down.

Cue long pause.
I have never experienced anything more awkward then standing there on this family's living room floor.
