2 days has passed and it was morning, I went for a run at 6 am and got back 30 minutes later.

I took a shower, changed into comfortable clothes and was now in the kitchen preparing breakfast.

I don't know what's happening but I like this side of me. It felt new, yet it feels like I'm really changing for me or because of what happened with him that day, or both.

Who knows. But..

I still can't get over of what happened in that room.

Luke's Pov

"LUKE!"

"What!" I yelled back but found my mom in front of me looking pissed then hit me on the back of my head.

"You're yelling at your mom first thing in the morning!?" she scoffs before walking back to the stove.

I keep forgetting that she hates being yelled at. Also when did I get here? I look around to find myself on a kitchen stool, in front of me was my phone opened to Milly's messages.

"So how's school? Are you okay with your trainings?"

"Yeah."

I miss her.

"What do you mean yea-HEY! WHERE ARE YOU GOIN-" Mom yelled as I was already out of the house.

10 minutes later

Fuck, what am I even doing. I feel like a stalker.

I sat in my car, parked a couple of blocks from Milly's house, the early morning sun just starting to warm up the dashboard. It was Monday, and the streets were still sleepy, barely stirring with the start of the week.

I drummed my fingers on the steering wheel, replaying the events from the weekend over and over in my head. The party had been a whirlwind—my confession to Milly, the surprise in her eyes, and then that hesitant smile she'd given me.

I was hoping to catch a glimpse of her before we actually make an interaction in school.

Am I crazy?

I let out a sigh, my head softly hitting back the headrest and turn to the right before jolting.

All of a sudden I felt a warm sensation in my chest.

It was like watching in slow motion through the side mirror. Her ginger hair swinging side to side, every movement she made, looking really drenched, yet doesn't at the same time.

In a second I thought she was gonna stop but she jogged right past.

I couldn't believe I'd finally told her how I felt. All these years of rivalry and tension, and now I'd laid everything out. It felt like I was hanging by a thread, and the thread was fraying. The fear of coming off as clingy gnawed at me, but I couldn't help it. My emotions were all over the place, raw and exposed.

My phone buzzed with a text from Leo, asking if I was ready for practice. I barely noticed it. My focus was on a beautiful girl, jogging across the street.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves. Was telling her how I felt a mistake? Maybe. But the thought of being clingy was killing me. I just wanted to see her smile, to make things right.

I walked down the crowded hallway, my nerves on edge as I spotted Milly at her locker. The usual Monday morning chaos surrounded us—students laughing and chatting, the start of another week of school. I could see her talking with Briar, who was animatedly describing something that made Milly laugh. It was the first time I'd seen her since the party, and the nerves were really starting to get to me.
