THIRD PERSON'S Point of View
"Is this some fucking joke to you?" Juno slams his closed fist on the table, fighting the temptation to destroy the communication device in front of him.
The Parthenos wouldn't like it if Juno destroys one of his toys.
A deep, humorless laugh erupts from the speakers, sounding a little too much like crackle of thunder against glass, or the scratching of metal to each other. "Relax, my good friend. I believe I'm not asking for much."
Mas lalo lang nainis si Juno sa sinabi ng Parthenos. He doesn't know what goes on in their leader's head, if he's entertained by his dilemma or what. His jaw clenches in irritation, a vein popping up on the side of his forehead.
Juno exhales. "What makes you think that partnering me up with that brat is a good idea?"
"Are you doubting my orders, Cronion?"
Hindi siya agad nakasagot. He's beyond angry, enough for him raise hell and destroy everything in his room, but he knows it's unwise to provoke the son of Athena.
Kahit na pangalawa si Juno sa ranggo, hindi pa rin niya kayang tumutol sa kagustuhan ng Parthenos. Everyone is scared of him and he wishes not to get on his bad side, as much as possible.
"Besides," Dugtong ng kausap. "Whoever holds the title of Cronion and Argeia are to join hands during big operations. That's you and Kasdeya Argyros. You know that this is our custom here, seeing that your roles are to destroy Zeus and Hera's seats in Olympus."
He closes his eyes momentarily. Blue electrical veins flicker under the hoods of his eyes, begging to be released as powerful lightning. Juno no longer voices out his protests. The Parthenos takes this as a sign that he has given up.
"If you worry that you'll have to babysit her, maybe it can ease your mind that Lady Eris speaks highly of her skills. You know that goddess is hard to please, but it's up to your judgement on what you'll think of her praise." Saad nito.
"It's not her usefulness I'm worried about," Sagot ni Juno. "Even the most incompetent man has some use, either as bait or a pawn. My problem is my reputation. How sure am I that I can trust that girl, that she won't set me up for failure?"
Parthenos scoffs. "You think it will affect your authority over your subjects?"
"You promised that you'll let me lead this organization. Even the gods have to think carefully and seriously consider my rule."
Kumuyom ang kaniyang palad. "You might be the heart of Katharsis, but I am its king. Is Kasdeya Argyros really worthy to be my queen?"
"She's will not be your queen, Juno." The Parthenos says harshly, like a sudden bite from a hunting wolf. "That is not the role I want her to fulfill. You may be Consorts by name, but this is merely a stepping stone for her."
"What do you mean?"
"My official order to you is this; You are to be Kasdeya Argyros' Consort. Stay in constant communication with her temporarily, unless I give you another order. Until then, she'll be your partner in two-person missions."
A static interrupts the call, a distorted tone as if sensing the tension forming in the Parthenos' voice.
"You don't have to worry, Cronion." His words sound gentle and considerate, but Juno knows there is a hidden threat— a malicious intent that seeks to deliver a different message. "Once I've deem her ready, I will take Kasdeya Argyros from your hands."
