KASDEYA ARGYROS' Point of View
A crashing wave of coldness envelops my body and the air around me. Kumapit ito kahit sa mga pader at lalong lalo na sa sahig. Even through my shoes, I can still feel the biting chill tickling up my feet.
Kinilabutan ako sa lamig, pero hindi nito natabunan ang kaba na namamayani sa aking dibdib. I step backward towards the others. Naramdaman kong humawak si Haiyan sa akin nang makalapit ako sakanila.
The minotaur mirrors my action and takes a step forward, eating half of the distance that separates us from him.
Lumabas ang isang mura sa bibig ko. This isn't good, things are starting to fall apart.
As much as possible, we need to stay clear from the Minotaur. Mahihirapan kaming makaalis sa paningin nito dahil nakita na niya kami, at ngayon, hindi na ako sigurado kung makakaalis pa kami ng buhay dahil nahuli na kami nito.
I dare to remove my eyes on it to look at my companions. I'm not even sure all of us can survive this.
Napailing ako. No matter, we just have to brute force our way out. I'd prefer if we can silently move in the Labyrinth, in and out, but that's ruined.
I have to think of a way out of this... and that means killing it.
Tinaas ng Minotaur ang isa nitong kamay. The shadow of its heavy claws falls on our bodies, and I use that time to strike.
"Aries." Tawag ko rito na agad namang kumilos.
Sa isang iglap, nakita ko ang kislap ng pulang ilaw sa gilid ng aking paningin. It dies as soon as it came, and the next thing I see is a blur of black fabric moving as swift as gale.
Before the Minotaur could attack us with its large claws, Aries puts himself in front of me with a large sword in hand. Siya ang tumanggap sa buwelo ng halimaw na tumama sa kaniyang sandata.
Sparks fly in the air from the impact. Aries immediately slashes upwards in an attempt to sever the Minotaur's sharp nails, but it only staggers backwards.
Naningkit ang mga mata ko. Purong ginto ang mga mata ng halimaw ngunit nasulyapan ko ang sandaling pagklaro nito.
The monster has sentience, or even just half of it, which means it can understand and adjust.
One of my silver daggers appear at the space near my head. Tinawag ko ang iba kong kasama. "Kill it, before it kills us first!"
Agad silang sumunod sa akin. Si Juno ang nanguna sakanilang lahat na mabilis na nagpakawala ng mga utos. "Go for its head." His voice booms across the corridors as they attack the Minotaur at full force.
Even in the middle of its stagger, it manages to block an attack from Haiyan. Pinatunog ko ang aking dila bago mag-summon pa ng isang dagger at ituro ang ulo ng Minotaur.
Bago pa man nito makita ang aking patalim, bumaon ito sa dalawang mata ng halimaw kaya malakas itong napasigaw.
Chaino takes that chance to move closer habang nagwawala ang halimaw. With an open palm, he grabs the Minotaur's face and a sudden explosion erupts from his hands.
Lahat kami ay napatakbo paatras dahil sa laki ng pagsabog. I don't think Chaino controlled his ability well because it shakes everything around us, including the roof that boxes us inside the bricked hallway.
Hinarang ko ang isang kamay sa aking mukha para hindi ako madaplisan ng dumi. I glance at the others who are recovering from the aftermath, but we know we need to keep moving.
Nang lumingon si Haiyan at Chaino kay Juno, tumango siya sa dalawa na gumalaw muli papunta sa Minotaur.
He quickly crosses the distance between us and puts himself in front of me, as if using himself as a barricade for any collateral damage.
