Now.....

5 YEARS LATER

Carmen's POV

It's been 5 years since I left home and I haven't been back. Don't look like that. I had a reason. I got pregnant from me and Mark's one night only concert. I couldn't just go back pregnant, he would know it was him and my sister and mother would think it was Damon and try and make me contact him. So, to avoid all the drama I never went back home even after had my twins. Yes, that's right twins. My little boy (Maxton) looks just like me and my little girl (Aviana) looks just like her daddy. They are only 4 but they are so smart and cute already. Any regret I felt while pregnant about having sex with Mark was erased the moment I held my little angels. Onika of course stuck by my side the whole time I was pregnant and even now we live together. When I found out I was pregnant with the twins I didn't quit schools. If anything it motivated me more because I wanted to beat the statistics and beat them I did. I graduate number 1 in my class beating out my best friend for the spot. It felt so good graduating and looking out into the crowd and seeing my babies clapping and smiling for me. It made it all worth it.

After graduation I got a job as a junior executive in advertisement agency. I love it. It feels so good to put my love of TV, music and shopping to good use. There is a daycare around the corner form my job so I'm able to go visit my babies during my lunch break. Life is so good. I love it.

One day on my lunch break my life got better. I was just leaving Dunkin Donuts (Starbucks is gross to me) and I bumped into a great wall of muscle. It looked up to apologize and was floored.

"Uh, I'm so sorry, I should pay more at- DAMON!!!!!!"

"Hey, ma. Long time no see but looking at you I wouldn't be able to tell you still look good better even. Haha." Damon responded while looking me up and down.

I playfully slapped his arm and answered "Thank you, what you doing across the pond?"

"I'm over here on vacation. I didn't know you was still over here. If I did I would've been visited. I'm in the NFL now and it's off- season so I've taking a trip across Europe."

"Oh, I didn't know you got drafted. Congrats. I know it's always been your dream to play. Did you get drafted by the Cowboys like you wanted?"

"And you know this man. Once they saw this kid's skills they had to scoop him up" He said with his little smirk and cocky attudite. All I could was laugh. I really missed him.

"I really missed you but I gotta go. My break is almost over and I got somewhere to go first so here is my number text me and maybe we can hang out I'm sure Onika would love to see you."

He took my phone and put his number in and then sent himself a text so he's have mine. I took my phone back and reached up and kissed his cheek.

"Later alligator."

"In a while crocodile." I quickly rebutted

I smiled and left. That smile stayed on my face the whole way to the daycare. He smelled so good. Just like I remember. And he was still so fine. He got better with time like some banging ass wine. I was glad I ran into him. I wonder what he was going to say about the twins but to be honest I don't care. If he can't accept them then that's fine but seeing him gain reminded me that I need to date. Find love. All this thinking and I didn't realize I had reached the day care. I walked in and greeted the receptionist Diana or Miss Ross I like to call her.
