Iris and her friends were given a separate floor in her relative's apartment so they don't have to stay in the dorm and can stay in the guidance of her relatives, aunt and uncle. However, they all together decided to move into another flat near their university once they get familiar with the city.

Finally, they were all set to go to the international University.

"Let's go, or we'll be late on the first day!" Alira shouted as everyone put on their shoes.
"Yeah, we know, but don't shout," Sienna replied.
"The bus will be here in just eighteen minutes, so hurry up, y'all," Alira shouted once again.

After getting their shoes on, they all made their way to the bus stop, which was quite far from the apartment so it took them almost fifteen minutes to get there.
Even though at the last minute, they managed to catch the bus.

Alira complained, "Can't we be on time atleast for once."
Iris quickly replied, "No, we can't. We are procrastinators and perfectionists at the same time!"
Alira gave a done look while the others smiled.

Finally, they reached the campus!

After taking the first glimpse of the University,
Ena spoke excitingly "Besides everything, the University building is so pretty."

Yes, the others replied

Yes, the others replied.

As the gentle breeze blew, it warmed their spirits with a fresh and exciting feeling.

Iris said jumping and giggling "We made it till here!"
"We'll study even harder and be with each other in every step, from being lovesick to killing it in our careers, " Iris said, and everyone agreed to the promise.

"Okay, so good luck to everyone. I wish everything goes well and my most brave girl, Iris, don't get nervous and do anything dumb," stated Anasia.

Sienna giggled and exclaimed, "My most brave girl!, why are you being so sarcastic suddenly?"
The others laughed.
Iris laughed as well and said, "At least we'll have a topic to gossip about if something goes wrong."

After exchanging goodbyes, they all headed off to their respective classes.
As they entered the classroom, they introduced themselves and found their seats.

All of them managed to make new friends, except for Iris, who was the most courageous one in the group

"I don't even wanna talk about today," Iris sighed wearily as they gathered on the bus.
"What's wrong?" Alira enquired.

"On the very first day, I got called out for my bangs. The teacher even compared them to a cockroach's antenna, and everyone laughed. Can you believe it? Teachers shouldn't be making comments about students' appearances, it's not very professional of them," Iris expressed her frustration and then continued in a weary tone "I was just sitting quietly by the window when I overheard someone say, 'Who's that girl staring out the window?' It didn't take long for me to realize they were talking about me. I turned to see it was the lecturer, and I felt a wave of panic wash over me. I had no idea why I was suddenly in the spotlight. A chill ran down my spine as I braced myself for whatever she might say in front of everyone on my the first day. Then she asked, 'Aren't you that top-scoring international student?' I nodded, and she continued with something I didn't quite catch because, as you know, I'm not the best at listening the first time around. Then she said, 'Why are you so quiet, and what's up with your hair? It looks like a cockroach's antenna.' At that, everyone chuckled with her while I sat there feeling utterly awkward. Maybe she was just trying to be funny and encourage me to engage, but I really didn't appreciate that comment. And because of that, I couldn't bring myself to make any friends. I was so embarrassed that I couldn't even look at anyone. I don't know what I'm going to do about my hair tomorrow, she's probably gonna say something again."

"So, your day hasn't been great so far!" Sienna said with a sigh.

Ena replied optimistically, "It's okay, I believe things will get better starting tomorrow."

"You always have such a positive outlook, Ena. I'm pretty sure I'll get called out again tomorrow," said Iris being fully drained.

"Just try using hair clips from tomorrow," Anasia suggested.

Iris let out a sigh, glanced out the window, and spoke softly, "Hair clips never really do justice to my hair, and I really don't think that I should change my appearance just because a random person said something randomly, it's really not making any sense to me. Anyway, how was your day?"

"Good," they all responded.

Upon reaching home, they changed clothes, washed their faces, and soon there was a knock on the door.
Anasia opened the door to find Iris's aunt, Mrs. Inaya Singh.

"Hello, aunty," Anasia greeted her.
"Hello, beta. How was your first day here?"

Mrs. Singh asked as she entered the room.
"Our day was fine, but Iris got called out for something... Let's say trival," Alira spoke up.

Mrs. Singh looked at Iris, who nodded with a sad expression.

"Oh, that's frustrating but anyways did you all eat something?" Mrs. Singh asked.

"No!" they replied.

"I made you all lunch, eat up and rest" Mrs. Singh said handling them home made food.

"And call me if y'all need anything else," she added.

"Thank you so much" they all replied and Mrs. Singh left, giving them a soft smile.

They all ate while chattering and took a nap.
