Iris had a peaceful stroll, all the way to the market she was thinking about how great it feels to be in a whole new country with your closest friends, feeling the refreshing breeze and crispness in the air.
She happily purchased some snacks and emerged from the store. The comforting weather sparked some deep thoughts in her mind."Can miracles truly occur, and could one happen to me? Is there such a thing as magic? Will something really nice and unpredicted happen to me in this unfamiliar land that will change my life for the better or my life will always remain uninteresting!??"
These thoughts gently floated through her mind as she smiled softly, gazing around, admiring the view of a totally new city. Suddenly, her eyes landed on a little girl in a maroon scarf, lighting a lantern on her window with her fluffy, beloved cat.
She started to miss her pet cat, 𝒌𝓲ℴ who was still in India so far away from her.
Then she decided to take stills of this tranquil scene as it looked like something straight out of a movie to Iris.
"I can't fight the urge to capture this heart warming scene"she thought and tried to take a picture with her companion, her camera! But just then! she stopped upon hearing a child crying! and began to search in all directions, completely forgetting about the picture.
And finally, she spotted that little kid crying near a bench. Many people went by but none of them paid enough attention to him despite of his heart wrenching cries.
Iris rushed there just to see that the little kid was all red because of crying and sobbing. He was crying so much that he even struggled to catch his breathe, his innocent eyes were now red and puffy because of continuous crying and each tear which slid down his flushed cheeks, almost shattered Iris's heart.
Soon a small, fluffy hamster appeared out of nowhere and climbed on his shoulder.
Iris instinctively tried to shoo it away but the kid backed off, wrapped the creature in his tiny arms protectively. Hesitating, she stopped and observed that the hamster looked harmless. In a concerned way, without wasting much time, she called out to him, "Wh-Why are you crying? and Where are your parents?"
The boy remained silent, lost in his tears.
"Just let me know if you are lost, I'll try to help you but please stop crying! " she exclaimed, reaching out to wipe away his tears. But the child, startled, took a step back and started to cry more.
