The three friends were back at S.T.A.R. Labs. Caitlin was now wearing a zip-up jacket over a S.T.A.R. Labs t-shirt and sweatpants. Cisco was checking her eyes and temperature. Next to her, Y/N gently held her hand, running his thumb over her knuckles.

Y/N: How do you feel?

Caitlin: Warm. Like me.

She gave him a soft smile with Y/N smiling back and squeezing her hand. She looked down at their connected hands, glad to finally be reciprocated by someone she liked.

Cisco: Your pupils are perfectly normal. Temperature is good if not a little cold. Everything seems normal for you.

Caitlin: I can still feel her in me, somewhere. She's trying to claw out.

Y/N: We won't let that happen. We won't let you go again.

She looked between her two friends, smiling.

Caitlin: Thanks, guys. Thanks for bringing me back.

Cisco: Anytime. We aren't team Flash without Caitlin Snow.

The three brought each other in for a group hug, happy to be together once more. Now, they felt ready for whatever was ahead. Caitlin loved being in the warmth of her two friends, sinking into them. After a bit, they all separated.

Y/N: Speaking of Team Flash, I think it's time we get our founding father back.

Cisco: Agreed. I'm ready to kick some gorilla butt.

The two of them turned to grab their stuff when Caitlin quickly stood up, her eyes going wide.

Caitlin: Wait! You can't go!

The two of them turned around.

Caitlin: Eiling, he's insane. He'll wipe us all out.

Y/N and Cisco put out their arms, gently getting the girl to sit back down.

Cisco: Okay, easy now, girlfriend. What are you on about?

Caitlin looked between the two of them, her face showing concern. She took a deep breath and explained.

Caitlin: I wasn't completely blind when Frost took over. It was like I was peeking over my own shoulder. I could make out a few things.

Y/N: What did you see?

Caitlin looked at him, her eyes showing worry and fear.

Caitlin: Eiling, he's created an army. Drones with a single target: meta-humans. Good, bad, it doesn't matter. All will be exterminated. And he's not done there. He has Grodd under his influence. They're working on something bigger. He's... he's insane.

Y/N and Cisco looked at one another and back at her. This was bad. Not only were the villainous meta-humans they'd been locking up in danger, but so were the good ones out on the streets, including themselves.

Caitlin: You can't beat him, not like this. We're up against impossible odds.

Y/N could see the worry on her face. He crouched down, placing his hand gently on her knee.

Y/N: Cait, you know when it comes to the impossible, that's where we shine. This team, we've faced so many threats with the odds set against us. We can beat this, too.

Caitlin: But Y/N, the last time you faced him, you nearly died. I don't want to have face that thought. Not again. I can't lose someone I care about.

She placed her hand in his. He squeezed it gently, reassuring her.

Y/N: But this time is different. This time, there's two of us.
