The energy of the crowd was refreshing. It was the type to keep Tyler going. Being a part of the energy caused him to not think so much. He could be on autopilot and do what he loved most.

But this night was different.

"Can I get the lights on for a moment please?" He asked into the microphone and waited for his lighting director to turn the stage lights on before continuing. The crowd cheered despite not really knowing what was happening and why Tyler was pausing the show.

He set his ukulele down on the stage beside him and held up a finger to the audience to wait. "Hold on a moment. I have a very special someone to show all of you." He said before he quickly scurried to the side of the stage, out of sight of the fans. "Ready?" His mother questioned with a bright smile as she cradled Adelaide in her arms with a thick pink blanket wrapped securely around the baby. "Come here princess. They're gonna love you." Tyler mumbled as he lifted the baby from his mother's arms and saddled her against his hip. 6 months had already passed and Adelaide had grown so much. Her dark curls stuck out in many directions and Tyler tried his best to smooth them down. He turned and slowly walked back out onto the stage. A grin spread across his face as he could hear the fans reacting well to the sight of his daughter. He paused in front of his mic again and turned a little so Adelaide was more visible. "Meet my daughter, Adelaide."

The crowd became louder at his words and Adelaide's eyes were wide and unsteady as she gazed back at the fans.

After the show, Tyler laid Adelaide down in her crib and smiled fondly at her. He watched as she gradually drifted off into a peaceful sleep. "Goodnight princess. I love you so much." He muttered before vending down and kissing her forehead. "Months ago I had no idea how we would get through this but we are doing it." He said softly.

He turned away from her crib but paused as the pink and white giraffe ornament caught his attention. A small smile crossed his lips and he exited the nursery.
"We'll be just fine."
