Angel, Vaggie, and you looked over to Charlie, who was sweating bullets. Husker didn't care about this shocked news and walked back behind the bar. Nifty ran off to go get a bug that escaped her grasp earlier. Alastor disappeared into the shadows, leaving Charlie to explain what happened.
You and Angel sat on the couch while Vaggie tried comforting her girlfriend. But it didn't help, so she sat right back down, taking Alastor's seat.
Charlie looked at all of you, fiddling with her fingers. She took a deep breath and, in that single breath, explained the entirety of what happened at the Heaven Embassy: finding out the leader of the Exorcist was Adam, that Adam and Lute were dicks, the whole musical number, and the extermination being moved up by six months.
"So now, our timetable has been cut in half. But who needs a whole year to redeem sinners? And when they repeatedly cut them again, we'll just handle it!"
"Yes, we will." You said. Charlie looked over to you, taking another breath and calming down some.
"Oh, come on, you had less than half a chance when you started all this salvation bullshit," Angel said, staring at his phone. "And now... There ain't no silver lining." Every second that passed, a buzz came out of Angel's phone.
"We don't know that." Vaggie objected.
"People are already freaking out about the news." Angel turned his phone to all of you. "Just look at the doomsday district." A video played of a demon running down the on fire.
"What is a donkey show?" Charlie questioned.
"OH! N-Nothing." He hid his phone. "My boss Val is just also freaked out about the news."
"Yeah, souls are desperate. They'll do anything to escape the extermination." Vaggie said as she got up and stood next to Charlie.
"This is the perfect time to get more sinners for the hotel!" Charlie cheered.
"You really gonna go out in this?" Angel asked, dumbfounded.
"Well," Charlie said, "it's not like demons are going to come knocking-."
A large explosion shock the hotel. Everyone whipped their heads over to see a massive hole in the wall and a voice calling out with an evil laugh. Everyone ran to the new window to see the same ship that attacked the hotel a week ago. Sir Pentious's voice called out to Alastor to fight.
Alastor appeared in front of the hotel with Nifty climbing up his shoulder. Sir Pentious apparently did all of this to show the Vees that he was cool enough to work with them.
Poor guy got leveled once again as Alastor's tentacles started attacking his ship without mercy. Everyone slowly approached Alastor, trying to convince him to stop, but he continued howling out in amusement.
All of you watched for five minutes as Alastor handed his guy his butt. Finally, the ship was thoroughly broken, and Pentious fell face first on the ground.
"Thanks for another forgettable experience!" Alastor chuckled.
"Thank you," Pentous said while still having his face in the dirt. He shot up and used his tail to rip a small piece of Alastor's coat. "For letting your guard down!" He smiled in his greatest moment of victory until Alastor's antlers grew to over double their original size. "Oh no, " he said in horror. But it was far too late. Right below him, an explosion was set off, and he went flying into the sky.
Alastor started walking off, saying, "Welp, it seems I need to visit my tailor. Best of luck, chumps!"
"Wait!" Vaggie shouted. "You can't leave!"
