It only took a second before the elevator reached its destination and freed you from that uncomfortably tight space. You filed out to see more Overlord getting off nearby elevators.

Rosie and Alastor made eye contact and immediately pulled each other into a hug. Rosie glanced over his shoulder at you, standing there like an NPC in an MMORPG. Rosie hopped over and pulled you into a tight hug just like the one she gave Alastor.

The three of you walked inside the meeting room, Rosie and Alastor took their seats while you leaned against the wall. You already felt out of place just being here; you would feel even weirder sitting at a table with these tyrants.

Alastor chatted happily with friend as she caught him up on the lastest gossip spreading like wild fire through Cannibal Town. However, something on the ground move in peripheral vision. Barly moving his head, he clocked one of the eggs staring up at him in pure confusion in it's beady yellow eyes. In one swift motion, he swiped the egg under his chair with the bottom of his cane. Leaving everyone else no to the wiser of their uninvited guest.

The Overlords chattered ceased when Carmilla and her daughters walked in. The three of them clocked you immediately, but they tried to mask their excitement as they walked over to the end of the table. Carmilla started her speech about the extermination and what they planned to do moving forward.

Zestial walked in, holding a cup of tea, and sat beside Carmilla. The two greeted each other, and Carmilla's attention turned to Radio Demon. "Alastor, you're back?"

"Yes, I'm sure you've all been wondering where I have been." He laughed.

"Not really, but welcome back anyway." His faced contorted some in displeasure and the radio hum that surrounded him halting for a moment, small gestures only you and Rosie noted. "And," Carmilla's moved to you. " You brought a friend?"

Alastor's normal cocky expression returned, leaning back in his chair and placing his cane in front of him with the end right next to his feet. "Yes, I invited a friend. I knew you wouldn't mind."

She continued on with her talk about what they should do about the extermination of the souls they're losing. But the poor girl couldn't get two sentences out before the door was kicked down.

With a bang of the doors hitting the wall, Velvette walked into the room, not paying attention to anyone as she talked on the phone. She looked up and laughed at Carmilla but stopped when she saw Alastor and you. Velvette laughed, "Voxy~, you're never gonna guess who's here. Yup, and-."

Her phone was shocked with blue lighting as a bolt shot out in every direction. Vox appeared in the blink of an eye, regaining his balance as he stared daggers into Alastor. Can he do that? Can he do that to all phones or just the ones he created? Maybe it's just Velvette phone that can do that? You're going to go with that option for now, for the sake of your sanity. "You," Vox growled, hunching over the table, pointing his claw out. "You have some balls coming to meet after seven fucking years."

Before either one could move, Carmilla slammed her hands down on the table, "There will be no fighting in my house. Take your personal vendetta outside and on your own time."

Alastor turned to look at Carmilla while Vox was still seething on the other side of the table. You shuffled against the window, trying your hardest not to stand out. You walked over to Vox, tapping his shoulder, finally moving his attention away from the deer man. "Can I talk with you outside for a moment?"

Vox whipped his head from you to Alastor before taking a deep breath and walking out of the room. Velvette took a seat while Carmilla's eyes stayed glued to the door, until the door clicked shut. The image of you and Vox leaving together made bile pool in the back of her throat.
