She screamed as the multitude of voices began to play in her mind, making her feel as if her head was going to explode. Suddenly a pure and majestic voice cut through all of the others "relax child focus only on my voice and let the others fade out" she followed the voices instruction and felt a wave of relief wash over her when the clamoring voices began to recede once more. "Who are you" she asked "I am known as filaria but your kind call me the queen, and you are" she asked.
"I'm Kendra it's nice to meet you.....but I have to ask, why am I able to hear you. She heard the queen chuckle, which was a strange thing to experience in your mind, ."my children have told me how you have helped and rescued them from bondage for this I have given you a small amount of our DNA through my bite......I have to admit I'm not completely sure how it will affect you....though it has clearly given you the ability to access the hive mind......Ralnir and Zaryx wish to you properly if you belive you can handle it"
"I'm willing to try, just tell me how" after several moments Kendra had finally gotten the hang of it and tried to contact the two Xenos beside her. After several seconds she heard two voices in her head arguing over who she should talk to first. After several moments she tapped them on their crests to get their attention. "Why can't I just talk to you both at once" They looked at her surprised for a few moments before both of them began talking at once.
"Oh my g-" "hey Kendra did you see-" "I told him yo-"she laughed at their enthusiasm before holding up a hand "one at a time guys" suddenly before they could continue their conversation a door at the end of the hall open and a group of guards walked through their weapons leveled at the aliens. "So Kendra I see your making friends as usual" Kendra glared at the man before responding "go screw yourself as-" the man interrupted her before she could finish her sentance.
"I apologize but I don't speak to mass murderers" Kendra smiled at him "so no conversations going on in that head of yours huh" the man glared at her before turning and looking at the soldiers "kill the aliens and take her alive I have questions on how she tamed those creatures"
The marines acknowledged him and took aim as the door closed once more behind the man and he smiled as he heard gunfire followed by the screech of aliens and a scream.
