Nangong Yin shot a glare at Yan Yuanqing. "Can you use your brain for once?"

Yan Yuanqing retorted, "How am I not using my brain?"

Nangong Yin pointed at Yanzhao and asked her, "What is her name?"

"Yanzhao," Yan Yuanqing answered promptly.

Only then did she realize and froze, looking first at Yanzhao, then at Nangong Yin, and finally back at herself.

A bold thought occurred to her.

Yan Yuanqing said in shock, "Did I take your child and raise her, making her take my surname?"

"..." Nangong Yin was so frustrated she almost slapped her to wake her up.

How could she have been so blind to fall for Yan Yuanqing, this superficial woman with a brain of a pig?

"She is our child!" Nangong Yin raised her voice, sounding a bit exasperated. "Her bloodline is the same as mine, and she looks so much like you. Don't you understand?"

Yan Yuanqing was stunned for a moment, blinking, and then a light gradually appeared in her eyes.

She shifted from worry to joy. "Really?"

Nangong Yin covered her face with her hands, silently reminding herself: Don't be angry, anger is harmful to your health.

Yan Yuanqing leaned over to the bedside and stared at Yanzhao with increasing joy. "I thought she looked familiar from the start. So, she's our child with Ayin. Oh my, our child has grown so much."

Nangong Yin: "..."

Facing Yan Yuanqing's erratic behavior, Nangong Yin was both amused and exasperated. She shouldn't have expected Yan Yuanqing to be reliable.

She walked over to Yan Yuanqing and looked at Yanzhao.

Seeing Yanzhao's cheeks rosy from sleep, Nangong Yin felt an unexpected happiness.

She spoke again, her tone helpless. "Aren't you curious about how she got here?"

Yanzhao's appearance was inexplicable. Since she wasn't in their memories, she likely didn't belong to this time and space.

"What does it matter?" Yan Yuanqing held one of Yanzhao's hands and gently patted the back of her hand. "No matter the reason, since this child has come to us, it means we are destined to be together."

Nangong Yin was persuaded by Yan Yuanqing.

She turned to Yan Yuanqing, internally evaluating: It's not that this woman is not smart; she occasionally has moments of genuine wisdom.

Nangong Yin sat by the bed and said to Yan Yuanqing, "I just inspected her body and found that she is constitutionally deficient and her soul is lacking. She cannot bear the power of the demon bloodline. Maybe that's why you sealed the demon bloodline inside her."

Yan Yuanqing suddenly understood. "So that's it."

"..."

Nangong Yin, tired of explaining things to this scatterbrained woman, went straight to the conclusion:

"This child's physical condition has always been an issue. Fortunately, her body is not weak now. We should work together to reshape her meridians. Although the newly formed meridians will still be fragile, once she starts cultivating, the impact of the demon bloodline will be manageable."

Yan Yuanqing's eyes brightened. "Good idea!"

Not one to delay, Yan Yuanqing was an impatient person. She immediately pulled Nangong Yin to help reshape Yanzhao's meridians.
