Both Gabbie and Travis ran out of the house freaking out at everything that they were experiencing in the house.
Both climbed into the car, Gabbie starting the car up and driving away, making an attempt to escape from the house, only to be pulled back again. It was then that Gabbie knew that she was gonna have to call the priest that had shown up at her house a day after Ember. It was the only hope that she had, to try and figure out what the heck was keeping her from leaving the house.
Ben was sound asleep dreaming of his wife, when he was pulled out of his dream by someone knocking on his door.
Ben got up out of bed with a groan, making his way over to the door, unlocking it and opening the door only to find father Kent standing there. "Father Kent, what can I do for you?"
"I got a call from a young woman who is in distress. She needs help with cleansing the house of the spirits that are haunting it. I already contacted the psychic medium to help us with the investigation to help the spirits cross over," Father Kent explained.
"You realize I don't do that kind of thing anymore. I haven't done that since the passing of my wife. I don't have any reason to do that anymore," Ben said as Father Kent walked into the house trying to convince Ben to change his mind.
"Come on Ben. You don't really want to turn an opportunity like this down, do you? This woman is willing to pay a pretty penny to help bring peace to her new home. Don't tell me that you are willing to leave the poor woman to defend herself and her son, against whatever it is that is plaguing their home," Father Kent asked knowing that he was beginning to get through to Ben.
Ben thought about what Father Kent had told him. "I'm sorry that the mother and child have to go through all of this. But I don't do that kind of thing anymore. I wish the both of them the best of luck with their dilemma."
"If you won't do it for the mother and son, who are going through this, then do it for the money. Please Ben. If I didn't need your help with this, I wouldn't come knocking at your door, asking you to help me with this," Father Kent said. "Look you help me with this case and I won't bother you again with things that involve the spirit world."
"Is there anyone else that I should know about, who may have agreed to help you out with this case," Ben asked.
"I only have you, myself and the psychic medium, Harriet. Why is there someone else who I should know about, who could help us," Father Kent asked.
"No. I will go on one condition," Ben said.
"What's that," Father Kent asked in excitement, knowing that Ben was about to agree to help him out.
"If I'm going to help with this case, I don't want you pulling anyone else into this. If this turns out to be dangerous, I don't want anyone else put at risk of getting hurt or worse. Can you promise me that nobody else will be involved," Ben asked.
"I'll do my best not to drag anyone else into this," Father Kent said before he and Ben made their way to the mansion, where Gabie and Travis were waiting for him, Father Kent and the psychic medium to arrive.
The moment Father Kent and Ben arrived, they were greeted by Gabbie and Travis. Both led the two men to the living room, giving them blankets and pillows.
Ben looked at Gabbie confused. "Why are you handing this to us? It's not like we're going to be staying the night here."
Gabbie looked to Father Kent. "You didn't tell him about what happens when he tries to leave?"
"Father Kent, what is she talking about," Ben asked before the psychic medium came to join them.
"Once you enter the house, you are to remain here, or be followed home by one of the many spirits that reside here, tormented until you make your way back. By the way, I'm the psychic medium, Harriet. I should have known that father Kent would leave out one major detail of us agreeing to come and help this young mother and son duo," Harriet said.
Ben turned his attention to Father Kent. "Is the psychic telling the truth?"
"I haven't been able to leave without one of the ghosts following me back home," Father Kent said.
"So, you tricked me to come to a home, where if I go to leave, I will be followed home by a spirit? That's where I draw the line. I agreed to help. I didn't sign up to have a ghost follow me home to possess my house," Ben said before turning to Gabbie. "I'm sorry you have to go through this, but I didn't sign up for this." Ben walked out of the house and was greeted by a young woman standing by his car.
"Can I help you," Ben asked.
Ember gave Ben a sad look. "Please don't abandon them. The spirits in the house are crying out for help. They're scared and are being tormented. Something sinister is keeping them trapped here and is scaring them into hiding."
"I'm going to tell you the same thing. I didn't sign up for this. I wish her and the ghosts the best of luck in finding peace," Ben said while gently moving the woman away from his car. Ben then climbed into his car and drove off.
Gabbie watched with sad eyes as Ember watched Ben took off, before turning her attention to Gabbie and her son. "He will be back. The spirits of the house know the danger that lurks in the house. It will come to an end, even if I myself have to come over here and help you and your son and the tormented spirits myself."
"I couldn't ask you to do that for me, Ember. Your kind words are more than enough. I wouldn't want any spirits following you home and tormenting you," Gabbie said.
Ember gave a sigh. "Like I said when you first moved in. If you need anything you know where to find me." Ember then turned and walked away.
A few hours later a soaking wet Ben arrive back at the mansion, and was greeted by Gabbie opening the door, handing him a blanket.
Ben made his way into the house, looking around the house, looking for any sign of Ember. "Where is the girl who was blocking my car earlier?
"She's not here. I won't subject her to the torment that all of us are going through right now. Why do you ask," Gabbie asked.
"Because she knew quite a bit about this house, the spirits in the house. She also seemed to know that the spirits in the house are being tormented by something dark that lurks in the house," Ben said.
