Ember leaned against the door, glancing around the room getting a feeling of Deja vu. Why on earth does it feel like I have been in this room before? Have I been in this room during one of my many dreams, that take over my mind, Ember thought to herself as she moved away from the doo, making her way deeper into the room; getting lost in the feeling that she had slept in this room alongside a man, who was known as her husband.
Ember continued to walk deeper into the room, looking around at all of the artifacts that were found in the house, before the new owners purchased the house; fixing up the rooms that were beginning to fall apart. The owner had a vision when they purchased this place, as well as purchasing the items from the time period, that the owner Alistair Crump's time, Ember thought to herself while walking around looking at all of the old time items that were being kept in that room for the time being.
Ember walked over to a mannequin that had a beautiful wedding dress on it.
"Wow. This dress is so beautiful. The woman who got to wear this dress all those years ago, she was one very lucky woman," Ember said to herself before glancing over, spotting a portrait of a young woman, wearing the dress that Ember was looking at.
Ember walked over to the portrait and spotted a name on the plaque that was under the portrait.
Emmeline Crump. Huh. This must be Alistair's young bride, who sadly died before she could give her loving husband any heirs to carry on the Crump bloodline, Ember thought to herself before she started to feel dizzy. Ember closed her eyes in an attempt to stop her world from spinning. Ember waited five minutes before she opened her eyes.
When Ember opened her eyes, she looked around and noticed that the room was now lit by candles. Ember looked around and noticed that everything looked old fashioned, around the time when Alistair Crump was alive.
Ember turned at the sound of the door opening, revealing a young woman entering the room.
"Oh, pardon my intrusion, my lady. I thought you had gone out with your husband Mr. Crump this morning," the young woman said.
"Husband," Ember asked in confusion.
The maid noticed the confusion on Ember's face. "Yes, my lady. Don't tell me that you forgot that you are a married woman now?"
"But I'm not married. I don't even have a boyfriend," Ember began to say but was shushed by the maid.
"My lady don't let the lord of the house hear you speak like that. Should the lord of the house hear you speak like that, he will punish you the same as when he punished you the night you had gotten married," the maid said. "Come. Your breakfast is waiting for you."
"Right," Ember said beginning to walk out of the room, only to be stopped by the maid.
"My lady wait! I have been instructed to not let you wander the house all on your own. I am to lead you to the dining area. The lord of the house has requested that I accompany you; at least you have grown used to the house," the maid said.
Ember was about to say something, but the maid started walking away, thinking that Ember was following behind her.
The maid stopped at the top of the stairs, noticing that Ember wasn't following behind her. The maid made her way back to the room, where she spotted Ember still standing in the middle of the room.
"My lady, you are supposed to follow behind me, when I begin to lead you to where you are supposed to be. Please follow behind me. I don't want to get in trouble. I fear that Mr. Crump will beat me as well as you, if I fail to do what I'm told to do; as well as you failing to listen to orders. We have to hur-" the maid was cut off by someone from behind her.
