"Autumn I...-"
"Marjorie if you're here to give me some kind of pep-talk-"
"What no! No, no, no, no pep-talk."
The red head just raises her eyesbrows and looks back at her whiskey.
"I promise, I'm just here to have a drink and sit." Autumns expressionless face stares at the older woman, her eyes twitch.
"... in silence." The manager of the Knight Nursery looks at her deputy and back at the table quickly.
Autumn also turns back to her drink and everyone, even someone blind can see how broken she is.
The guard dog is broken now. She feels like she will never be herself again. If she is honest, she doesn't even want to be anymore.
Her life has lost all sense.

"If you did want me to go, just say the word and then I'll leave."
The red head looks up and back down again. "Hm." Her eyebrows slowly sink again.
The older woman looks at her younger friend, mustering her. Seeing the broken guard dog.
Autumn couldn't get herself to look up again.
"Marjorie?" The just called woman looks and her face forms in a weird, uncomfortable smile.
"You want me to go." She is already sliding off of her chair with one last look at her friend.
"I'll take that hug now."
Silence. Shock. Autumn Knight, the woman who hates physical contact just asked for a hug.
"Uhm... okay, okay." Marjorie said, still in disbelief that her hug offer actually got accepted after all.

She walks over and opens her arms. The younger woman gets up, she is normally slightly taller than her colleague. But right now she is just small. Almost tiny compared to her longest friend.
The second she falls into Marjories arms she goes gets heavy. Her whole weight now rests in Marjories arms. This feeling is new to both of the women. They never knew they'd get so much comfort from the other one.
Marjorie didn't know how heavy Autumns worries actually are. How long she kept being strong.
Autumn didn't know how comforting the presence of her manager and friend could be. She didn't know that she'd ever let anyone else but Winter and Reece touch her even hold her.
She is being vulnerable.

The first time. This is the first time that Marjorie sees how broken the younger woman actually is.
Autumns tears keep falling down on the brown haired womans shoulder.
It already has a wet spot from her tears and Marjories waist is probably bruised by now.
The broken dogs grip is so tight, holding onto Marjorie and sobbing. Her whole body is shaking, her knees are weak. The only thing holding her up is Marjorie.
How ironic. A woman that hated Autumn at the beginning is now her safe place, her stone.
Autumn Knight. No longer strong and controlled. No longer calm and emotionless. Inside of her is a storm.
Everything from today keeps replaying in her head and it hurts her, her heart aches.

"I need another whiskey..." Marjorie looks even more worried now. She knows Autumn has probably more liquor running through her veins than blood right now.
"My darling... I don't think you should be drinking even more..."
"Marjorie. I am in so much pain... if I drink it vanishs! I need it!!! I don't want to be in pain anymore!"
Her voice almost begging, so urgent.
The older woman doesn't know what to do and the waitress walks over. Marjorie whispers in her direction, asking how many drinks Autumn had already and as she heard the answer, she knows the answer for Autumns request.
"You won't drink more darling. Come with me. I'll take you home okay? Somewhere safe and warm and where your pain vanishs."

Marjorie pulls Autumn with her and it seems to be almost impossible to get her to walk.
Yes, the alcohol. The devils medicine for broken souls. And the only medicine for broken dogs.
Winter is waiting outside of the bar. Smoking. He never smoked.
And he tried to put the cigaret away as soon as he sees his loved one.
Autumn falls in his arms before her can put it off and then she steals the cigaret. And she takes a puff.
"You said... you would never smoke again... my sweet."
"You said... you would never smoke again... my love."
Bot of their thoughts leave their mouth and Autumns and Winters tears mix with the june rain. The sky is crying with the young couple.
