___________________________________After they finished getting ready, they made their way outside. The air was fresh and crisp, the sounds of the morning filling the air.
As they approached the carriage, Kasika looked up at it. Atharva, noticing her hesitation, stepped forward and offered his hand.
"Need a hand, titli?" he asked, a gentle smile playing on his lips.
Kasika gratefully took his offered hand, allowing him to assist her as she climbed into the carriage. Once she was seated comfortably, he gave her hand a gentle squeeze before pulling away.
"Make yourself comfortable," he said.
Kasika nodded, settling back into her seat.
Atharva closed the carriage door, his eyes lingering on her for a moment before he turned.
With a creak and a lurch, the carriage began to move, the rhythmic clopping of the horses' hooves signalling the beginning of their journey home.
She glanced out of the window, watching the scenery pass by.
As the carriage rolled along, Atharva rode on his horse just a few feet in front of it. He kept watch over Kasika, his eyes flicking occasionally towards the carriage to make sure she was okay.
Every now and then, his horse let out a soft whinny, a greeting to the other horses pulling the carriage.

After hours of travelling, the landscape began to change. The wide plains were replaced by the familiar terrain of their own kingdom. The hills that framed the horizon became more defined, and the trees that grew wild on the roadside started to take on a more familiar shape.
Kasika leaned out of the carriage window, her eyes widening as she recognized the surroundings. They were almost home.
The tall walls of their kingdom were visible in the distance, a welcome sight after days away.
"Almost there, titli," he called out, his voice carrying over the clopping gallop of the horses.
Kasika nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. The journey had been long and tiring.
"Finally," she replied, her voice filled with a mixture of exhaustion and relief.
As the carriage rolled through the gates of their kingdom.
He signaled for the driver to stop, and the horses came to a halt. Quickly dismounting from his horse, he strode over to the carriage and helped Kasika down, his hand warm and sturdy at her waist.
Once she was safely on the ground, he took a moment to look at her. Her face was slightly flushed from the journey, and her hair was tousled from the wind. Despite her disheveled state, she was beautiful.
