Dehleez pe mere dil ki
Jo rakhe hain tune kadam
Tere naam pe meri zindagi
Likh di mere humdum
•••••••••I stirred from my sleep, feeling her weight against me, her body warm against mine. The faint scent of herbs and the faint hint of our closeness filled my senses.
I opened my eyes, blinking in the dim light of the room, and realized she was there, in my arms, her head resting against me.
My fingers traced patterns on her back, a subconscious gesture as I held her close, this is what home feels right?
I held her, feeling the rise and fall of her breathing against my chest, the subtle rhythms reminding me of the preciousness of this moment.
As I continued to hold her, I listened to her soft breathing, a melody of silence and peace that washed over me and settled my restless spirit.
She felt warm and soft in my arms, her presence a comfort that dulled the pain of my wounds.
She stirred in my arms, a soft whimper escaping her lips as she lifted her head, eyes drowsy with sleep.
I watched her as she blinked away the remnants of sleep, her eyes locking with mine, her expression a mix of surprise and drowsy confusion.
I held her close, waiting for her to fully wake up, hoping she wouldn't pull away just yet.
She lifted her head, her eyes meeting mine fully now, the silence between us heavy with the weight of the past days.
I held my breath, waiting for her to say something, my fingers tracing circles on her back to comfort her.
My heart pounded with a mix of anticipation and worry, hoping her gaze would soften into forgiveness instead of disappointment.
I swallowed my pride, the words leaving my mouth softly, my voice tinged with a hint of emotion. "I'm sorry, Titli."
I watched her face, hoping for a sign, anything to indicate her feelings, the words a fragile bridge towards resolving the hurt. My regret was heavy, and the fear that I'd gone too far plagued me.
She blinked and tears filled her eyes, her words carrying both hurt and confusion." Hu kon hai mai apki? maafi kyu maang rahe hai aap?"
(Who am I to you? Why are you apologizing?) Her voice wavered, the pain evident.
I felt a mix of guilt and affection, seeing her hurt, a direct consequence of my actions. I held her closer, a silent plea for her to accept my apology, however small or insignificant.
My voice trembled with emotion as I replied, my heart heavy with love and regret.
"Mera sab kuch hain aap, meri jaan"
(You are my everything, my life,)I confessed, unable to hide the weight of my affection. Apologizing for the silence, I promised, "From now on, I won't hide anything from you. You'll be the first to know everything, no secrets. Please, forgive me."
