It turned out that you'd been worried over nothing as far as Yaoyorozu went. She'd been slightly hesitant at first but after promising to go through the proper channels when you were back, and there was time, Momo gave in. In fact, she lit up and started spewing about as many facts over the materials involved to help you finalize your choices as Midoriya might have if you'd asked him about literally anything about All Might.

In the end you'd gotten a kickass costume in under ten minutes and Yaoyorozu got to feel elated over helping you. She'd even gone so far as to make you a temporary carrying case so that you could take it on the military plane with you. Mainly because there had been no time to get dressed after spending all the time you had to bring your design to life.

You carried the moderately weighty suitcase when the military personnel called for everyone to get on board. Boarding was done fairly silently. All the heroes and sidekicks, which now included you, that were leaving Japan for this would all start out on the same plane. Then everyone would be divided up as they got closer to the country or region they were going to support. Some, like Yaoyorozu who you learned was going to Singapore, would have layover time before they were instructed to strike at their intended Humarise target. With the way it was set up that meant that you, Hawks, Tokoyami, and the others from Hawks' agency (all of whom had been giving you the side eye at one point or another) would be the last to arrive.

Thankfully while the main transport airplane didn't have all the luxuries of first class, it did have comfortable bench seating which ran down the length of the plane on both sides. You were also grateful for the fact that they didn't go over the whole standard safety speech. Those were a bore at the best of times.

Feeling more than a little nervous, you let everyone else board the plane before you. It only felt right to let everyone pick their own seat before you took up what was left. After all, in a way, everyone on that plane was your social senior. You might have been born and bred into the hero society but every single person on that plane had more experience than you did. At least when it came to combat.

Which left you in a rather awkward situation to say the least. Why? Well the only spot that was really left was next to the one person you just knew you shouldn't sit next to.

As you took your seat to his right, Todoroki asked, "Did you have Yaoyorozu make that for you?"

He was very clearly indicating the case you'd placed between your legs. So you nodded and gave him a short verbal answer. Such conversation seemed to placate him. Midoriya, who was sitting directly in front of you, seemed intrigued, however.

"What does your design look like? Since you'll be working under Hawks, did you style it to have bird-like references? A lot of his sidekicks have pieces to their hero costume that are obviously inspired like birds. In fact, Tokoyami once said that part of the reason Hawks recruited him was because of his avian features. And since you don't have anything like that it would make sense if you'd add something onto your costume to fit with Hawks' image. But oh! I suppose he has plenty of sidekicks that don't do that too!"

"Midoriya," you interjected as you restrained a laugh.

"What?" He asked, blinking.

You smiled and simply said, "Thank you."

And such a simple thing sent him down into a spiral of confusion and embarrassment. You watched as he practically dissolved into a bundle of nerves as he muttered to himself over what you could have meant. Coupled with Bakugo's annoyance from beside him, it was a welcome distraction from the tense situation  at hand. What made it even better was that Uraraka, who was sitting to his other side, had tried to get him to calm down. Her attempts helped a bit but it was watching her obviously dote on him that amused you the most. Her gentle, caring attitude was good for him; you just wondered when they'd both realize that they liked each other.
