As the days edged closer to Jisoo and Rose’s engagement, Lisa found herself filled with a blend of excitement and determination. She had finally decided it was time to tell Jennie everything. It wasn’t an easy decision, but she knew that their relationship couldn’t move forward with secrets between them. She wanted Jennie to know her fully, to see her for who she truly was.

The next day at work, Lisa was focused and purposeful. Haruto had been incredible in his new role, absorbing his responsibilities with enthusiasm. His efficiency eased some of Lisa’s burden, allowing her to focus on other matters. She felt lighter than she had in a long time, as though clarity had lifted a weight off her shoulders.

During her lunch break, Lisa texted Jennie to catch up on their day-to-day updates:

> Lisa: Hey, how’s work going?

> Jennie: Hey you! Busy, as usual. But, I’m counting down the days until the engagement! Can’t wait to see you there. How’s my birthday girl doing?

> Lisa: Managing! I’m counting down the days too. There’s something important I need to tell you… but, I’ll wait until we’re in Korea.

> Jennie: Now you have me curious! But alright, I’ll wait. I trust you, Lily. Just don’t make me wait too long. 😘

Lisa smiled at Jennie’s response, her heart beating a little faster. She wanted to tell Jennie right then and there, but she knew it was a conversation that needed to be done face-to-face. In her heart, she felt ready to reveal everything, to trust Jennie with every hidden part of herself.

The weeks flew by, and as Lisa worked through her busy days at the company, her mind often drifted to Jennie. She kept rehearsing what she would say, and as the engagement date approached, her resolve grew stronger.

Meanwhile, in Korea, Jisoo was equally busy but still made it a priority to stay connected with Rose. They couldn’t let distance become a barrier again, and both were determined to make it work. The love they shared, rekindled with a new understanding, was growing stronger by the day.

Jisoo often found herself sneaking out of meetings just to FaceTime Rose, who made time to entertain Jisoo’s parents during their calls. Rose was effortlessly charming, winning over Jisoo’s family with her warmth and humor, and it filled Jisoo with pride. Her parents were ecstatic about the upcoming engagement and often discussed their preparations with Rose.

On one of their calls, Jisoo’s mother, Mrs. Kim, couldn’t help but say, “Rose, you’re already the perfect daughter-in-law! We’re lucky to have you as part of our family.”

Rose blushed, her usual composure giving way to a shy smile. “Thank you, Mrs. Kim. I’m the lucky one to be a part of your family.”

Jisoo’s father chimed in, “Aha enough with the formalities, Rose. Just call us Mom and Dad already.  You’re already one of us.”

Rose blushed at their statement, " Alright,  Mom Dad."

Jisoo smiled, feeling a warmth she hadn’t felt in years. Her heart was full, and she knew that this time, she was making Rose her priority.

With the arrangements finalized, both families decided that the engagement would be held in Korea at the Kim mansion on the 27th of May. The Park and Kim families were eager to seal their bond through the engagement of their daughters, and they spared no effort in making the event grand. The Kim mansion was soon bustling with activity, filled with decorators, caterers, and planners making arrangements for the big day.
