Jennie’s POV

The days that followed felt like a dream I never wanted to wake up from. Lisa’s arrival changed everything. Suddenly, she was there every morning and evening, a comforting, familiar presence that filled the loneliness I hadn’t realized I’d been feeling. We fell into a routine that felt effortless, like we’d been meant to be together all along. Even work at the law firm seemed brighter knowing she’d be waiting for me when I got home.

One evening, after a particularly long day, I walked into the living room to find her sprawled on the couch, scrolling through her laptop. She looked up as I came in, and her face softened, lighting up in that way that made my heart skip a beat.

“Long day?” she asked, patting the spot next to her.

I let out a sigh, dropping my bag and kicking off my heels before collapsing beside her. “The longest. But seeing you makes it worth it.”

She grinned, wrapping an arm around my shoulder and pulling me close. “Well, I have some news that might make you feel better,” she teased.

“Oh?” I asked, perking up. “What is it?”

Her eyes sparkled with excitement. “The final contract for the Seoul shopping complex has been approved. We’re all set to break ground next month.”

“Lisa! That’s amazing!” I wrapped my arms around her, thrilled to see her hard work paying off. “You did it! I’m so proud of you.”

She chuckled, hugging me back. “I couldn’t have done it without you. You’re the one who inspires me every day, Nini.”

The warmth of her words filled me with a quiet joy, and I pressed a soft kiss to her cheek. Moments like this felt surreal, and I wondered if she truly understood how much she meant to me.

Lisa's pov

It's been a month since I moved back to
Seoul, yet I'm still staying in Jisoo's
apartment. A few weeks ago, I bought a
new place in the same building as hers,
but I haven't had the chance to furnish it
yet. Jennie and I talked it over and
decided to move in together next month
once everything's set up. I couldn't help
but feel excited-and a little nervous-
about finally making that commitment
with her.

Being together outside work,
outside obligations, and finally having a
place to call ours...it felt unreal.
Tonight, it's just Jennie and me. Jisoo
and Rosé are away in New Zealand
handling a big investment issue for Kim
Corporation. Apparently, V couldn't
handle the situation alone and called
Jisoo for help. Since Jisoo's parents
wanted to spend some time with Rosé,
she brought her along. They'll be gone
for a week, leaving Jennie and me with
the place to ourselves.

After work, I called Jennie, asking if she
was ready to leave, and told her I'd pick
her up. I could practically hear the smile.
in her voice when she agreed, and it
made my heart swell. I got into my
Ferrari, enjoying the short 15 minutes
drive to her office. When she walked out,
she spotted me instantly, flashing me
that bright, playful grin that gets me
every time. I got out to open the
passenger door, and she slid in, her eyes
lighting up as I leaned in to buckle her
seatbelt.

The drive back was filled with easy
conversation, laughter, and stolen
glances. It felt natural, yet special. Once
we got back, we decided to freshen up
before having dinner. Jennie headed to
our bathroom, while I used Jisoo's since
she wasn't here. On the way home, we'd
grabbed some takeout, so after washing
up, we enjoyed our meal, sharing bites
and talking about our day.

With the weekend ahead of us, we
thought it would be fun to stay up late
and watch a movie. We set up in the
living room, snuggling together on the
couch, feeling the cozy warmth of just
being close. I turned to Jennie, asking,
"Nini, what movie do you want to watch?"

She smirked, glancing at me with that
playful glint in her eye. "365 Days."
My eyebrows shot up. "Are you...sure?"
She just nodded, an innocent look on her
face. Trying to hide my surprise, I
queued up the movie on Netflix. It had
been a while since I'd seen it, and I'd
almost forgotten how intense it could
get. But Jennie looked completely
unfazed, watching with full interest.

The first half was manageable, with
some laughs and light-hearted
comments. But when the adult scenes
started rolling, my face grew warm, and
my pulse quickened. I stole a glance at
Jennie, wondering if she felt even a little
uncomfortable. She was calm,
seemingly unbothered, her eyes glued to
the screen.

"Uh... Nini, aren't you feeling... a little
uncomfortable?" I asked, my voice
coming out a little choked. She shook her head, turning to me with a soft smile. "There's nothing to be uncomfortable about, Lily. It's normal for a couple."

Her answer hit me harder than I'd
expected. She sounded so...mature
about it, like it was no big deal.
Meanwhile, I was sitting there, struggling
to stay composed. But my body was
betraying me, reacting to the scenes
unfolding on the screen and the quiet
intimacy of sitting so close to her.

I tried to discreetly grab a cushion,
placing it on my lap to hide the evidence
of my embarrassment. But Jennie just
kept watching, as if nothing was out of
the ordinary. "Doesn't she feel anything...?" I thought, both relieved and frustrated.

Finally, I couldn't take it anymore. "Nini,
I'm... getting kind of sleepy. Maybe we
could finish this another time?" I
mumbled, quickly getting up before she
could respond. I made my way to the
bedroom, hoping some distance would
help me cool down. Once inside, I
dropped onto the bed, pulling the blanket over me. The AC was on, but I still felt a strange heat, and my mind was racing.

A few minutes later, Jennie joined me.
She slipped under the blanket, her
warmth a comforting presence beside
me. The room was quiet, the movie long
forgotten, but there was something in
the air, a quiet tension neither of us
could ignore. Then, suddenly, I felt her
arms wrap around me from behind, her
breath brushing against my shoulder.
I turned to face her, our gazes locking in
the dim light. There was something in
her eyes-an intensity I'd never seen
before, something deep and unspoken
that held me captive. And just like that,
my control slipped away. I reached for
her, my lips finding hers in a kiss that
held all the emotions I'd been trying to
hide. She melted into me, her hands
pulling me closer as we lost ourselves in
each other.

Unable to hold back, I trailed kisses
down her neck, feeling her shiver under
my touch. I nibbled softly, leaving a
small mark on her skin, claiming her in a
way that felt instinctual. I wanted her to
feel everything I was feeling, to know
that I was hers. My hands moved to her
shoulders, gently slipping the fabric of
her blouse down as I kissed along her
collarbone. But then, suddenly, she
pushed me back a little, her eyes wide.
Reality hit me in a wave. "Sorry, Nini... I...
I got carried away," I said, pulling back,
brushing a stray hair from her face. "I'll
go... cool off," I muttered, moving to get
up, but she grabbed my hand, stopping
me in my tracks.

"Lily, I... I want this," she whispered, her
cheeks flushed, her gaze unwavering.
My breath caught. I searched for her face, wanting to be absolutely sure. "Are you sure?" I asked softly, my voice laced with both excitement and concern.
She nodded, a small, shy smile playing
at the corners of her lips. That was all I
needed to hear.

I leaned back in, our lips meeting in a
slow, deep kiss, savoring the moment.
This wasn't just a kiss; it was an
unspoken promise, a reassurance that
we were both ready. I felt her relax
against me, her arms wrapping around
my neck, drawing me even closer. As I
continued to kiss her, gently, deeply, I
whispered against her lips, "Then I won't
stop."

Jennie's hands moved along my back,
pulling me into her warmth as I kissed
her, savoring every second. It felt like
time had stopped, and for the first time,
there was nothing holding us back-no
doubts, no fears, just us.
