Lisa’s POV

The next morning, Jennie and I boarded my private helicopter, heading straight for New Zealand. Last night’s revelations had left Jennie emotional, but her strength and determination to defend her family inspired me even more. Knowing that we were in this together fueled my resolve to protect her and her family from Jung Yeon Kim’s schemes.

The flight was smooth, though Jennie was quieter than usual, lost in thought. I could tell her mind was racing, so I reached over, taking her hand. She gave me a small, grateful smile, and I gently squeezed her hand, hoping to comfort her.

“Whatever happens, Nini, we’re in this together,” I reassured her.

“I know, Lisa,” she replied softly. “Thank you—for being here with me. I know this isn’t easy.”

“It’s more than worth it. I’ll always be here for you.”

As we neared New Zealand, the weight of responsibility settled over me. My father, Uncle Ji-young, Jisoo, and even V were counting on me to help navigate this crisis. I steeled myself, ready to face whatever was coming.

Author’s POV

The helicopter touched down in Auckland, New Zealand, where Marco’s assistant was waiting to escort them to the Kim Corporation’s New Zealand office.

“Miss Lisa, Miss Jennie,” the assistant greeted them with a respectful bow. “Welcome. I’ll take you both to the office, where Mr. Marco, Mr. Ji-young, Ms. Jisoo, and Mr. V are waiting.”

Jennie took a deep breath, clearly nervous but determined. Lisa placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder as they walked, offering silent support. They got into a car, and as it pulled away from the helipad, Lisa turned to Jennie.

“Are you ready?” she asked gently.

Jennie gave her a resolute nod. “I am. Whatever happens, we’ll face it together.”

After a short drive, they arrived at Kim Corporation’s New Zealand office—a sleek, modern building with a beautifully landscaped garden. Stepping inside, they were quickly escorted to a conference room where Marco, Ji-young, Jisoo, and V were seated, deeply engaged in discussion.

The moment Jennie and Lisa entered, everyone’s attention shifted. Ji-young rose from his seat, walking over to embrace Jennie.

“Jennie, I’m so sorry you have to go through this,” he said, his voice filled with regret.

“Dad, it’s okay. I’m here to help however I can,” Jennie replied, her voice unwavering.

Marco approached Lisa, shaking her hand firmly. “Thank you for coming, Lisa. We knew we could count on you.”

Lisa nodded. “I’ll do everything I can, Dad. This family is my family too.”

Jisoo’s POV

Watching Lisa and Jennie arrive felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I knew Lisa would give everything to protect us. Seeing her determination reassured me that we weren’t alone in this fight.

V stood beside me, a look of relief crossing his face. I caught Lisa’s eye, nodding at her in acknowledgment. I was grateful she was here; the stress of the past few days had been overwhelming, and having Lisa’s level-headedness was exactly what we needed.

We all settled down, ready to dive into our next steps.
