How to get a cookie

So many expectations,
Trying to make me what I ain't
So many conclusions
Making me what I ain't
Why you sitting there looking through your mirror seeking my face.
I've got my own shadow quit seeking your reflection in mine.

All I  want is a breakthrough
To break through the invisible walls
The walls that make no sense
To prove my worth
What is this roof over me?
The one that refuses to allow in rays

Let me live
Let me pass through this trial
Let me give
Let me give my all

All I want is to break free

I put in my all
Yet I am held back by this walls
It wasn't always this way
The first year was easy
The second I pulled through
The third I fell, yet I picked myself up and tried again.
I've cried, I've given up, I've fought
But it still isn't good enough....

She pauses. Cookie looks at her.
"Oh hell no" Cookie says.
And turns to Jamal who is now standing next to her.

"Go up there now! " Cookie says pushing him forward.

"Good enough" she shouts.
As he keeps going.

"I've cried, I've...given up..." She starts again and pauses just as Jamal grabs a mike.

"I've fought but it still ain't good enough to pay your dues" he says and Alicia Looks at him her eyes glassy.
He smiles and continues as he intertwined his song Good enough with it.

Cookie and Jamal make eye contact and both smile.
"That's my boy" She says.
He makes a gun with his hand and shoots Cookies heart. A tear falls from her eye.
"I thought he was a fool?" Alicia's best friend says.
Cookie stealthily wipes of the tear.

"Not right now, thank you Lord" cookie says and turns to him.

"Lenny" he says stretching out his hands.

Cookie looks at it and smirks.

"Cookie" she says.

"No handshake?" Lenny says looking at his outstretched hand which Cookie hadn't held.

"Work for it" cookie says flirtatiously.

Lenny smiles.
"She's worked with a lot of people but you're the first to get her doing this in a long while and the first to notice her problem, you're good" he says.

"Good?" Cookie says and half chuckles.
"I'm better than good hot mocha, I'm Cookie" she says winks and walks away to a grinning Lenny watching her leave.

Perfect!!! At least for me I badly wanted that end and I did it!!! Lol empire writers need to get me in their team asap 😂.
