I woke up panicked to the sound of blaring alarms.
The sudden bright LED light hurt my eyes. I sat up in cold sweat, only to find I wasn't where I had fallen asleep.
The room had tall, cement walls, I could spot multiple pathways, for it seemed more like a maze like than a room. A loud speaker blared at me overhead.
"Finish the maze."
What? They actually thought I was going to run this thing when I had my own way of transportation?
I shrugged out my wings and jumped into the air, sailing right over the top. I saw a sign that said exit, and veered toward that, when pain laced through my whole body, and I fell to the ground. Slamming against the concrete. Ugh, that was gonna leave a mark.
"Finish the maze." Blared above my head again.
I noticed a small white circle around my ankle. A label read; warning electrical hazard.
You don't say?
It zapped me again and I scrambled to my feet. Heading down the nearest pathway, hoping it led out.
This would make escaping much harder.
