After, they walked up the steps with their luggage's. Brian invited them into his house where it was nothing but books around the place in different sections of the living room with the smell of caramel. Brian's home was whimsical, gothic, and Victorian. Just like the style of his clothing, everything about him exudes youth and intelligence.
Angeline has known Brian for some time now so she's used to him but this was Mingi's first time meeting an ancient being that wasn't trying to kill him. However, he had a lot of questions.
"Are you a vampire?" Mingi's question stopped Brian in his tracks and he smirked at the young man.
"Half," He responded and Mingi turned his head to the side out of confusion.
"I'm half human and half vampire. So I got the best of both worlds," Brian shrugged as he looked at him, laughing at Mingi's face.
"It all makes sense now!" Mingi exclaimed, he followed behind Brian as Angeline closed the front door.
She watched as the two men converse among themselves with a smile. Angeline loved the fact that it didn't take long for Mingi to be comfortable around new people and loved that Brian was so welcoming to him.
"I sensed that you were a vampire but I also felt something else. Almost like Angeline, you guys carry a very strong presence." Mingi continued with amusement on his face.
"Oh, that's because we are the coolest people you will ever meet," Brian said causing Mingi to laugh.
"Angeline is cooler than me though, she has more abilities than I do." Brian smiled at Angeline and that encouraged her to walk up to them.
"As long as you know." She nudged Brian's shoulder and he pushed back.
Mingi chuckled at Angeline and Briad until they heard a huge gasp come from the kitchen and saw a dark-skinned curvy woman.
"Honeyyyyy!" She shouted.
"Honey?" Angeline questioned, looking at Brian and he scratched his head in fear.
"When were you going to tell me that we have guests?!" She continued before running to Mingi and Angeline with a huge smile on her face.
"I'm sorry, pumpkin. That won't happen again," Brian pecked her nose before facing the two vampires.
"Mingi...Angeline. This is my wife, Sherri." He introduced.
"You got married?!" Angeline exclaimed while covering her mouth.
Brian nodded as Sherri hugged her.
Sherri carried herself with kindness and joy. Her round dimpled face, gave Angeline a sense that she was a good woman. Also, by the way she smelt Angeline knew that she wasn't a vampire.
