The next day, Taylor received a text from the treatment team informing her of an appointment with her dietician and therapist at 2.30PM.

Tree was also informed of the appointment, but due to her own doctor and dental check ups, she was unable to attend. She spoke to Taylor about it but the blonde assured her she would be fine.

At 2pm though, when the time came for her to leave the house, her anxiety was too much and instead she decided she couldn't face it. She got into sweatpants and a hoodie – climbing into bed and sleeping the afternoon away.

Around 5pm, her phone began vibrating – waking her up from her sleep. When she saw Tree's name flashing on the screen, she decided to ignore it – hoping she would leave her alone. Realistically she knew that was a long shot and she groaned as she saw a message pop up 'don't ignore me. I am coming over.'

No kisses, no emoji's – Taylor knew she was in trouble and she groaned, pulling herself up. She headed to the kitchen, grabbing herself a glass of icy cold water and sipping it slowly – trying to calm the anxiety building up.

Around 15 minutes later, Taylor heard her front door open then close. She began picking at her nails nervously.

Tree's footsteps grew closer "TAY?" the redhead checked the living room and realised she wasn't in there then headed towards the kitchen, her voice frustrated but not angry "do you want to tell me why I came out of my dentist appointment this afternoon to multiple voicemails, telling me you hadn't gone to your appointment-"

As she came into the kitchen, she paused – watching Taylor pacing anxiously. Her expression softened instantly – realising this was fear and anxiety not just bloody minded rebellion "oh honey"

Taylor looked at her, tears welling in her eyes "I'm sorry..."

Tree nodded, motioning to to the blonde to follow her "let's go and sit down and talk..."

Taylor followed her, feeling like a child being sent to the principals office. She dragged her feet all the way.

Tree patted the seat next to her on the sofa "come sit next to me..."

Taylor hesitated but knew she had no other choice. She sat down slowly, looking everywhere except at the redhead.

Tree squeezed her hand gently "So, do you want to tell me what's going on? Why did you skip out on your appointment?"

Taylor bit her lip, trying to find words to explain it. She tensed up, finally making eye contact with Tree "I'm sorry..."

Tree kept her voice even "I don't need you to be sorry, I just need you to explain..."

Taylor scratched at her wrist anxiously "I...I was overwhelmed. I didn't want to be in trouble if there was a problem with my bloods. The doctor didn't believe me yesterday about purging and when I saw it was with the dietician AND therapist, I just knew they were going to increase my meal plan"

Tree's face softened even more, her eyes kind with sympathy "So you hid away...they could have helped you. I could have helped you Tay..."

Taylor nodded, then she looked up playfully "well you couldn't – you were at your own appointments. How did they go by the way? Tell me all about them!"

Tree rolled her eyes "yeah, nice try! This is about you-"

Taylor interrupted, attempting to deflect again "but as your boss, I need to know you're healthy...tell me about them."

Tree narrowed her eyes "yes, they were fine. Now, back to you..."

Taylor sighed but knew this wasn't going away "Tree – I just couldn't face it. I couldn't let them do it...I don't want an increase!"
