It was the very beginning of the party, and Max was having a rather dull time. Kai and Ray went their own ways after their 'Thank You' speech, leaving him with Tyson.

He and Tyson had been mingling with various guests, soaking in the congratulations for their second World Championship win. But it wasn't the same as an official afterparty, which had been canceled that year due to budget constraints.

While many teams had made it to the party, several others, particularly those from outside the country, couldn't attend. Still, the Saint Shields, along with a few others, were present to celebrate that night.

A slight hiccup in the evening's preparation occurred when the dance floor opened. Given how busy they'd gotten during the days leading up to the event, both he and Tyson had forgotten to get themselves a date. It was a little embarrassing, especially since they were the hosts.

And since Ray had Mariah, and Kai had Cassandra since they were already dating, it only made things feel worse, like rubbing salt in the wound.

Max sighed as couples started to fill the dance floor. Leaning against the nearest table, he muttered, "This is just great. Second championship win, and I'm standing here like some third wheel, without even a wheel to third."

Tyson chuckled, nudging him. "At least you've got me. We can be each other's dates."

Max shot him a look. "Yeah, because two guys dancing together won't attract any weird looks at all," he deadpanned.

Tyson smiled and shrugged. "Who cares? We're champions. If they've got a problem, they can take it up with our trophy."

Max couldn't help but laugh at that. "That's a nice way to look at things." He admitted.

Tyson smirked. "If we're doing this, we've got to make it epic. None of that slow swaying stuff." He said confidently, already stepping onto the dance floor with exaggerated swagger. "We go full freestyle!"

The crowd parted slightly as the two launched into their ridiculous routine. Tyson threw out some questionable breakdance moves, while he launched into an over-the-top tap-dance. They pointed at each other dramatically and struck absurd poses to the beat.

Laughter erupted as the crowd began to turn toward the spectacle.

Ray groaned from the sidelines. "Leave it to Tyson and Max to turn a celebration into a comedy show. "Mariah nudged him with a grin. "Oh, come on, Ray. It looks fun."

With that, she grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the dance floor. "Wait, what?!" Ray protested, but Mariah was already spinning him in circles, trying to match the chaotic energy.

"Now this," Tyson said, spotting them, "is what I'm talking about!"

Before long, others couldn't resist joining in, caught up in the infectious energy. The room was filled with clapping and laughter as people danced along.

By the time the song ended, nearly everyone was on the dance floor, spinning, clapping, and moving to the ridiculous beat of his and Tyson's antics.

The room erupted into applause as the final notes played, and both of them bowed dramatically, basking in the moment.

"See?" Tyson said, clapping him on the back. "Who needs a date when you've got moves like these?"

Max laughed, wiping his brow. "You know what, Ty? You might just be the best date I've ever had." He declared dramatically, hugging him. "Don't tell the others," Tyson teased. "They'll get jealous."

As the next song started and the crowd returned to their own dancing, Max and Tyson retreated to the refreshments table, still buzzing from their impromptu performance.
