"𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐇𝐈𝐌, 𝐉𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐘𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐍," Apollo's familiar voice sounded. His hair was a light brown, and his eyes honey coloured as he smiled at Raya. He only ever took on this form when he was speaking to her. It was the same form he had when he met Regulus, when he created Raya."Yeah, I did," Raya nodded, a small smile on her face. She still couldn't entirely believe it. "With Kayse's help. And yours. And a little bit Auntie Artemis."
Apollo laughed, a rich sound that filled the dream. The father and daughter sat on plush couches in an expensive looking room. It was actually quite comfortable for her. Raya couldn't remember the last time she'd had such a peaceful dream.
The room they were in had floor to ceiling glass walls that overlooked a gorgeous mountain range, rivers flowing down the peak. It looked like something out of a postcard.
"Yes, of course," he grinned. "You couldn't have done it without your familiar, and the coolest Gods ever." Apollo's smile softened as he continued. "I knew you could do it. Regulus is... he's important to what goes on in the Wizarding world. You guys are going to need him for what comes next. He's the key to everything."
"And what's happening next?" She asked in an innocent tone, wondering how much more she could get out of her father.
Apollo merely smiled regretfully to himself. "Ah, I can't tell you that now, can I, my little jellybean? It would change everything, would alter the future. But Regulus is important, his research is important. If it all goes well, you'll complete the prophecy. You'll have to give him the peace he deserves, still."
Raya furrowed her brows, opening her mouth to question Apollo's words. Regulus Black had been rescued. Was that not his peace?
"No, it was not," Apollo responded, reading her mind. "Not even close. His peace is that Potter boy. But he can't have that anymore, so his peace is simply his name being cleared. Talk to him, jellybean. He's your father. You can ask him the truth. Oh, and apparate to the gardens below Mount Tam after sunset. That's where you'll meet your friends."
The scar on Raya's back began to ache at the reminder. She would have to face her fears, she'd have to go back to the place that had become the root of her pain. The Garden of the Hesperides.
Raya sat up with the music of the rising sun blaring in her ears.
She groaned quietly, laying back down and burying her face against Kayse's chest. She wrapped her pillow around her head, doing her best to block out the noise. Even as the noise grew distant and then disappeared, Apollo's voice from her dreams did not.
Raya sat up, annoyed at Apollo because she couldn't even fall asleep again. Her brain was running around too much, wondering about Regulus.
About the truth.
Raya looked towards the bed where he remained sleeping soundly thanks to the sleeping draught Raya had made for him. His mind was still a little bit scrambled, and after waking up twice with nightmares, Raya decided it was best to simply sedate him with a low dose of Draught.
She climbed off the sofa, trying her best not to wake Kayse up. She was unsuccessful, because the second she stepped away, Kayse sat up with a frown.
"Where are you going?" he asked tiredly, rubbing his eyes as he stifled a yawn. His hair stuck up in different directions, his eyes squinted as he remained between sleeping and waking.
Raya smiled to herself at how adorable he looked. "I'm gonna freshen up, take a shower, get ready for the day. And then, when Regulus is up, we can head down for breakfast."
