I yawned, stretched and walked out of the nursery, over to where Owlkit and Fernkit were playing mossball.
"Owlkit!" I mewed hopefully. "Can I play too?"
Owlkit scoffed. "Please. A runt like you? No way mousebrain!"
"Yeah! You're just a stupid kit." Fernkit hissed at me.
I looked down at my paws, tears brimming my eyes. They were only a moon older than me, yet they still bossed me around.
"Leave her alone!" I looked up to see Featherkit standing there.
Fernkit and Owlkit just rolled their eyes and ran off to the nursery.
"Thanks Featherkit..." I smiled slightly.
Featherkit grinned and sat down next to me. "No problem! Don't believe anything they say, got it?"
I smile and nod.
Featherkit stretched. "The bad part is, their apprentice ceremony is in a less than a moon..."
I groaned but grinned. "Yeah they're gonna be more stuck-up and bossy."
We both laughed and got up. "Race you to the elders den?" Featherkit asked, rearing up.
"You're on." I smirked.
I beat Featherkit to the elders den but accidentally crashed into Minnowtail.
I scrambled to my feet as Featherkit reached the elders den.
"Sorry Minnowtail!" I squeaked.
Minnowtail just growled slightly and sighed.
"I'm guessing you kits are here for a story." He grumbled.
"Yes please! " Featherkit said hopefully.
"Alright. Get comfy. So a long time ago, there were four original clans Thunderclan, Riverclan, Windclan and Shadowclan..." Minnowtail started.
----------------- Le Time Skip----------------
"Cool!" I grinned.
"Great story!" Featherkit squealed.
Minnowtail flicked his ear. "Thank you. Now, run along kits. I hear your mothers calling from the nursery."
We got up and ran over to the nursery. It was already moonhigh.
My mother ushered me into the nursery to get some sleep.
"C'mon Shadowkit. Get some rest." My mother, Duskbreeze said quietly.
My mother was right... I was tired. It was like she could read my mind!
I sleepily padded over to Duskbreeze and curled up beside her.
My brother, Owlkit snorted and moved slightly away from me.
I sighed and sleep slowly overcame me.

The wind picked up whispers and carried them away from two cats talking in an abandoned twoleg nest.
It carried parts of the conversation to a hidden cat.
"So we attack in a few moons?" A white and silver shecat with strange ice blue markings asked.
"No. Well... As soon as we have more members." A reddish brown tom answered.
I gasped, then quickly slapped my tail against my mouth.
The two cats immediately became quiet.
The tom turned to the shecat. "Search the area. Find the cat and make sure he/she doesn't tell anyone."
The shecat nodded.
I slowly backed out and started to run.
I heard the yowls of the shecat behind me.
The yowls became louder... and louder....
